V R S College of Enginering and Technology was established in the year1994 under the aegis of S P S Educational Trust. The College is functioning with theapproval of Government of Tamil Nadu and All India Council for Technical Education and affliated to Anna University.It is managed by a Board of Governors with Mrs.VijayaMuthuvannan as its Chairperson and Mr.R. Ramanathan as the Seceratary and Correspondent. Er. M. Saravanan looks after the entire administration of the College.

The College is situated 15 km from Villlupuram on the Villupuram - Thiruchirappalli National Highway at 170 km south of Chennai. The nearest Railway station is Villupuram Junction,whereas the nearest Sea and Air Ports are at Chennai.
