The Defier
The Elite Among the Athar

The Athar were far from happy when the Lady's edict kicking the factions out came down.  Over the years, they had come to make many enemies by crying their philosophy from every street corner.  Knowing they had nowhere else that might be safe, the faction moved to the base of the Great Spire in the Outlands.  The Rimilari dwelling there have allowed them to stay for now, but the hard-cored faction is still available to player characters.  Still out to prove the powers as fakes, them move and continue to be subversive to the devine.  This prestige class is for the most dedicated (factor or above) of the faction.

Class Features:
All the following of the Defier prestige class:

Weapon and Armor Proficiency:  Characters who take a level of Defier gain no special proficiency with weapons, armor, or shields.
Spell Immunity:  All Defiers are immune to the following spells: Bestow Curse, Blasphemy, Doom, Holy Word, and Geas/Quest.
Divine Resistance:  Starting at 2nd level, all Defiers gain a resistance bonus to their saves against divine spells equal to their Defier's class level.  This resisitance is effective from both helpful and harmful spells.  This excludes casters who follow the Great Unknown (see below).
Spellcasting Ability:  Defiers of at least 3rd level gain the ability to access divine spells by venerating the Great Unknown, a force that transends the gods and grants Defiers (and according to the Athar, all the powers) their abilities.  If the character is an ex-cleric, etc., then they become divine spellcasters of spellcasting ability equal to their ex-cleric (etc) level plus their Defier's class level -2.  Otherwise, they cast spells as a cleric of a level two less then their Defier's class level.  Also, all spellcasting Defiers gain access to any one domain and it's domain power.
Holy/Unholy Damage Immunity:  Defiers of at least 4th level gain immunity to all holy and unholy damage, such as that caused by holy weapons.
Divine Prevention: At 5th level, all Defiers gain the ability to grant their divine restistance power to others (the Defier retains this power).  Once per day, the Defier must touch the target as a standard action to use this ability.  If the target is unwilling, the Defier must succeed in a touch attack on the target, and the target must fail a Will save with a DC equal to 10 + Defier's class level + Defier's wisdom bonus.
Divine Cancelation:  When the Defier reaches 6th level, she gains the ability to counterspell divine spells cast at them.  This is the same as the standard counterspell ability.
Divine Reversal: At 7th level, a Defier gains the ability to reflect divine spells back at their caster.  If the Defier makes his save against the spell, she may cause it to affect the original caster of the spell.
Divine Interference:  At 8th level, the Defier generates a field around himself (to a radius of 15 feet) that disrupts any divine spellcasting around him (except for his own).  The caster must succeed in a caster level check (DC = 10 + Defier class level + Defier wisdom bonus) in order to successfully cast a divine spell.  Failure indicates that the spell fizzles and the spellcaster loses it from memory.  This supernatural ability can be supressed as a free action by the Defier.
Nondetection:  A Defier of 9th level or greater gains the continual effect of a Nondetection spell as if cast by a sorcerer of the Defier's class level (DC = 15 + Defier's class level).  This ability can be supressed and re-activated as a free action.
Divine Block:  A 10th level Defier gain Spell Resistance against divine spells equal to 10 plus the Defier's class level.  This spell resistance does not stack with other spell resistances.
