Explaination:

This page will provide you with descriptions of each of the characters in this campaign. You will be able to see the active characters, past characters, and both a DM's view of the character and the player's view. The characters of the "Wounds" campaign are: Asgar, Darious, Dorn, Eleni*, Grunk, Keegan*, Lain, Maia*, Mak'cha*, Ralga*, Shaklyri (Hope)*, Shamil, Sparky*, and Xilocent.  Current characters have a *.

Active Party:

Unoffical Party Leader:
Eleni -
Player Perspective: Eleni is a moon elf druid who lost her husband and only child when a red wizard cast a nightmare spell on her.  In the dream that was her reality, she watched helplessly as the human townspeople that she called friends came and killed her son and husband, leaving her to die in the burning ruins of her home.  In truth, it was Eleni who killed her son and tried to kill her husband.  When the nightmare spell its hold on her mind, this knowledge threatened to take over her sanity.  Eleni, now broken in heart and in mind, currently struggles to discern reality  from her own madness.  Perhaps the forgiveness and love of her estranged husband and the healing touch of Rillifane through nature can bring peace to her shattered world.

DM's Perspective: Eleni is a motherly druid who lost her child and husband due to a madness induced by nightmare magic.  This moon elf druid continues to find reasons to live.  Her ferret Alton, her owl Hoot, her bat Meep, and her dire wolf Silverback help provide some of this.  She is caring and generous, and serves often as the peacemaker of the group.  Her deep sadness surfaces only when she lets it, except being always visable in her eyes.  After she found her husband, alive on the arm of the Red Wizardess Kizzie, she seemed to get worse.  She got a little better after striking her down at Darious's wedding, but is still stressed.  Especially now that her beloved husband, Einliess, is a vampire.  She used to console herself with sex with Asgar, but now is spending that stress reducing "healing time:" with Hope's father Darvis, after he took over the body of Earl Molveki of Ostwick.  Rough times are still ahead of her.

Eleni's Journal

Keegan -
DM's Perspective: Keegan is a human, mostly.  A skilled sorcerer, he seems to embracing the dragon blood flowing through his body.  He also seems to be embracing any male he can.  Strongly homosexual, he only seeks to be loved after being abused by many past lovers.  He embraces the theology of Finder, seeking new creations through his Art and painting.  He helped Ralga hid her mother, and that has led him to join this strange party.  He also seems to be spending a lot of time conversing with Hope using code, and watching Sparky's manlyness.  What else will be bring to the party?

Maia -
DM's Perspective: Main is a human wizardess who was unjustly accused of destruction caused by another.  That other, a dwarf spellcaster, is her burning desire for revenge.  She travelled with these heroes as the final part of her penance, but has found them worthy to travel with, especially as they are in need of a powerful spellcaster.  Her past though caught up with her, learning that the "father" who left her on a door step was really her creater, and she is a clone.  She knows she has 19 other sister (well, 18 now), but only knows two of them.  Tala, the bounty hunter of Mulmaster was the eventual perfection of her "father's" work and is a good person.  However, the first clone, Adelphia, was without moral guidance, and leads the Zhentarim on the Stone Tablelands against the holdings of Lain's brother.  She found and killed an Ulrath, the dwarf who framed her, but found that he had bought her father's cloning equipment after he stopped using it, and now seeks out the other Ulraths.

Mak'cha -
Character's Perspective: "I called Mak'cha.  I heir to shaman of blood.  Chieftain blood.  Sick of blood.  Hate how he killed mother, friend, any he not like.  Hate them.  Gave me to Drow.   Shamil save me.  I give life for her.  She show war not needed.  Other ways.  I kill those who kill.  I need no tool except self.  I found peace in justice.  Now I its tool.  Also I Shamil's tool.  Together, we strike for justice.  We did, but not now.  She left me too.  Now look for purpose with only friends."

DM's Perspective: Mak'cha, the NPC orc, was rotting in a drow encampment before they found some value in him.  He was very young.  He was rescued when the party raided the encampment to save Darious's sister.  It was Shamil who opened the door, and who Mak'cha took to be his savior.  He decided the owed her a life bond, and now exists to protect her.  They party never gave him any equipment, but he stayed and learned to fight well with his fists.  That, combined with the peace solitary confinement gives, led him to the path of monk.  Being seemingly the only full orc monk, he's out to bring down his old tribe, responsable for much bloodshed throughout Cormyr and the Dalelands for years.  When Shamil retired, and Lain left (being the only bond left back to his old half-orc friend Asgar), he felt adrift again, only staying with the group because he found no safer place.  He trusts Hope and Eleni.  Maybe someday he can reclaim his destiny.

Ralga -
DM's Perspective:  Ralga is perfect shaman material.  The half-orc barbarian / sorcerer has an odd sense of humor, but she keeps it in check with an honest love of battle.  While fairly new to this group, she journied long before with Asgar, and more recently with Xilocent.  Her motives are her own, except for that of honorable battle.  She battled long and hard until she recieved word from her mother (a dwarf?!?) about her gambling debts.  She returned home, leaving the group for many months.  She returned with a new friend named Keegan.  But she came back changed.  She now is perpetually in a large black cape, hood up, with a large black bird on her shoulder.  Her first act was to turn an insulting Sparky into a monkey.  Many are not really sure it is the real Ralga.

Shaklyri (AKA Hope) -
DM's Perspective: This half-drow was brought up in an experimental above-ground drow settlement focusing on the teachings of Eilistraee.  Being the rare half-elf, she's got the elven long view of life, yet impatience at the same time.  Now she seeks out her father's race's understanding.  She had her father at her back (literally, in the form of a bastard sword), seeking to understand human society, and with it, a part of herself.  She seeks her calling, and to right the wrongs of her race, and she needs help doing it.  She even continued slightly in his steps, becoming a Harper agent under Storm Silverhand herself.  Seeing Eleni as a mother figure and the others as people she could help in their worthy goals helped keep her with the party and alive.  However, she's been trough many trials, including torture, losing her home to drow xenophobic ways, the beheading of her love Eastyn and later raising, and other tribulations.  Eilistraee guided her into the ministry of being a sword dancer in her service.  Her father, Darvis, was forcibly removed from his sword into the body of the Earl of Ostwick, the small holding he nows rules.  Now if she can only figure out how to deal with Eleni boffing her father...

Shaklyri's Journal

Sparky -
DM's Perspective:  This stormlord is loyal to the ultimate stormlord Talos, god of chaos and destruction.  He rode the great northern Ride with barbarians before being chased by many orcs into the party.   Not trusted by most party members, he hasn't sought to destroy the good around them.  They are sure he will strike against them some time.   However, aside from a driving need to annoy Shamil, he's been harmless to the party.  His greatest desire now is to destroy the "dirty vampire", Eleni's husband Einliess.  He likes striking bargins with others (barbarians to depose chieftains, dragons with unknown agendas, etc), and ultimately, creates chaos everywhere the party goes.

Inactive Characters:

Asgar -
Player's Perspective: A tall, large half-orc with a drunken glint in his eyes that belay something.  What is that something?  Intelligence?  No.  But something more sinister than just angry animal rage.  He stands there, silent to the questions, awaiting the next battle.  As if each battle brings him closer to...  you don't know, and won't say.
Before you stands a rather large Half Orc that is quite a site.  You would swear that you have never seen anything before that looked so incredibly funny and deadly at once.  A good head taller than most humans, this half-orc looks like he has tried (badly) to comb his hair and is wearing a purple silk suit in some strange fashion.  At his hip is an imposing great sword and a large bow is strapped to his back.  As you stiffle a giggle (the sword looks like it has been used), he ignores you and admires the tapestry.

DM's Perspective: Asgar is a half-orc barbarian who got kicked out of his tribe.  Since that, he served with honor in the Corymr army during the War of the Dragon, then quested north with the tracker Grunk to find his old tribe.  Since then, he's faced drinking issues, random violence, pixie runes of shame, and random sex.  It's been a strange journey, and then got wierder, as his past with Grunk is coming back to him and he's acting more fruity than any half-orc should ever be.  It all caught up with him when he went on a gnome killing rampage in a misguided attempt to "rescue" ShamilMak'cha made the killing strike, and it still haunts him.  However, his grave was opened and the body taken, so who knows what's going on.

Status: Undead (and leading an undead army against the other PC's)

Darious -
DM's Perspective: Darious was a concieted, arrogant, and confused sun elf wizard that had his life turned upside down.  The drow of House Jaelra killed nearly his entire family, and travelling with this company served him well towards finding his revenge.  He hasn't found it completely yet (not while the drow carry his father's ancestral sword), but he continues to seek it, now with the Planescape Forever campaign.  However, his ties to the group are still strong, even as he passed through the fancies of both Eleni and Shaklyri, and he hopes to see them again.

Status: Retired (married newlywed in Tangles Trees)

Darious's Journal

Dorn -
DM's Perspective: Dorn is a dwarf in search of himself.  This fighter was trapped in an arrow for over 100 years, when he was less than 100 when he became captured.  Now he has been released (partially because of the "purity" of the party) and doesn't see the world he recognizes.  Now he hunts a dragon who killed his mother.  Hopefully, the gods are done fighting over him...  Them seem to be, and now he fights himself, trying to deal with the broken curse of multiple personalities.

Status: Retired (recovering in Tangled Trees)

Lain -
DM's Perspective: This human bow-fighting specialist came hunting the abductors of Owen's Point, and found a worthy party to adventure with (after they accidentally release the dwarf Dorn from his artifact Lain used to hunt his enemies).  He is strangely racist and horny, a bad combination for a human male with Maia being the only human female with the party.  No one is really sure they can trust him, and he is unsure of them.  However, he fell in love with Shaklyri, and found himself being told to sacrifice her to Bane to prove his loyalty.  He didn't, the the Dagger of Bane wouldn't let him off, turning his hand and arm to iron.  He was "rescued" by his friends by them cutting his arm off in his drugged sleep.  Then, he found a replacement arm, but others thought that it too was trying to control him.  They cut that off, but he wanted it back, so they gave him to a dragon.  That made him even more bitter, and he quests now  to be "whole" again.

Status: Active Retirement (Dragonhunting away from the party)

Grunk -
DM's Perspective: Grunk, the original "flaming" half-orc, had a harsh past only known to Asgar, with whom he travelled with a long time.  His flamboyant style, though disconcerting, quickly endeared him to the group.  However, his eventual movement from his ranger skills to the wizardly arts confused even his friends.  Now he lies dead, buried with honor at Tyr's temple in Suzail.  He died defending the ransom for High Judge Hyko's son from a troll before being healed.

Status: Dead (Buried in Cormyr)

Shamil -
Player's Perspective: Don't let her 3'2" stature fool you, nor her quiet manner - if you've been overcharged at the local mercantile, or if you need something from a locker room, Shamil's your girl.  She has the sense to run when necessary, but doesn't balk at battle.  Rather good with her crossbow, she's killed no less than five drow.  she's not half bad with her dagger either; name a bug has fallen victim to its blade.  She's currently searching for her brother, Zook, taken by giants.  If you happen to meet her, don't be suprised if you have to sit through some rather long tales about her adventures.  Also don't be suprised by the haunted look in her eyes, she suffered quite a loss, but don't expect her to tell you about it until she fully trust you.

DM's Perspective: Shamil is a fun loving rogue out to bring fun and justice (of a sort) to the world.  Fools and jerks are easily parted from their valuables, and Shamil sees it as her duty to do so.  She rights wrongs when she finds them, but is troubled in many ways.  She searches for her brother, a gnome seeking to slay giants.  She also has a deathly fear of spiders and bugs in general, finding common ground with Shaklyri.  She continues to have nightmares of her past as well.  That, plus the "pet" orc Mak'cha makes things very interesting.  She continues to seek, but for more than just Zook...
Update: She found Zook, held by giants in just northwest of the Border Forest and rescued him.  Figuring she saved him once, and not out to rescue him again, and while fleeing from the death of her husband and the marrage to his brother, she's decided to settle down and live quietly, and it'll be hell for anyone who's out to break that.

Status: Retired (living in Blackberry Briar, in the Border Forest)

Xilocent -
DM's Perspective: Xilocent is a half-elven ranger with the sea in her vains.  While traveling mostly around land locked areas these days, her family comes with some aquatic elf blood she wears well.  After her time in the war with Asgar, she and Ralga journied with others, coming back together only at Hykos's request.  Joining this group, she seeks to help right wrongs.  She hasn't openly dedicate herself to any objective, but she hasn't shyed away from flirting with pretty much anything that moves.   That hurt her when she was seduced by a shapeshifter who used her hormones to help enchant her.  That experience left her broken, and she left to find her true self.

Status: Unknown  (last seen searching for Ralga)

Special thanks to Marie, Laura, Paul, Nicki, Scary, Shawn, Jennie, Nathan, and P-Money for making these wonderful characters possible.
