Since we came back from Banff, Canada, we were seriously thinking to get a "one piece" recreation vehicle. We mainly interested in a vehicle that is "neighboorhood friendly". We had a lot of fun with our tent trailer since we bought it in Memphis in 1988 and it is time for a graduation to a more comfortable. The term "roughing it smoothly" prevails on our quest. We went to the R.V. shows, even Yongkie flew to Los Angeles to see and feel the Sportsmobile. We also thinking about a truck campers such as Lance and other fine manufacturers. We visited a few local dealers that carry class B motorhomes, we even drove as fas as Eugene to see and get some ideas from Roadtrek (the most popular class B in its class). We found out that class B motorhome (converted van) has a lot higher prices than class C (cab over) or even an entry level of class A (bus type). The class B motorhome prices range from $40,000 to almost $75,000 for the top of the line such as Coach House. There are no ways that the Finance Minister (wife) will approve such purchase, even there is a saying that it is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. The alternative is to convert
an empty cargo van and turn it to whatever we like with the notation that
interior space is the limitation and we should not cramp ourselves.
