I love to visit this online journal and portal of information studies a lot. The articles available here helped me to understand the topic better. It was part of Prof Dr Tom Wilson project and supported by Lund University. Prof Dr. Tom Wilson is a key scholar in the field of information studies.
This is a group focusing on User and Usability Studies. There are current lists of undergoing research in Nanyang University School of Communication and Information; reading through the short explanations are refreshing and really an eye- and a mind-opener to the world of research in user studies.
This web site is maintained by none other than the scholar who formulated the theoretical approach herself; Brenda Dervin. Just like Prof Dr Tom Wilson who has his own web site which is accessible at Information Research portal. I believe there are a wealth of information that can be explored at this site. However this web site were last updated on 2005.
On my first attempt to google about Human Categorisation Behaviour, I was shown to this site by the result hits. To be honest, I am yet to explore this site further, and checking the authority of the site but I listed it here anyway for easy reference. Subject to removal later on if found not related or relevant to user studies.
This is a course outline prepared by Martha M Smith for Summer I, 1997 session at School of Library and Information Science, Indiana University South Bend. It gives good reading lists and multiple assignments assigned to the student – however the reading list is quite old by now – laps of ten years. The assignments can give ideas for class project if the lecturer happened to want something purely our own.
