Apogee Photo Magazine has been good to me. This is the forth contest that I've won, been a runner up or have gotten Honorable Mention. This time the theme was "TREES" and, by golly, there are a bunch of trees in this image. This photo was taken while cross country skiing in Yellowtone National Park. This forest was burned during the great fire of 1988. The trail is called Blacktail Plateau - a ski trail in the winter but a road in the summer. Blacktail Plateau is located between the Mammoth Hot Springs and the Tower area within Yellowstone. I would have liked to have won it all - but I must admit - the First Place photo was simply terrific. To check out the Apogee Tree Page, go to the Apogee Photo Magazine Trees Contest link. But be sure to come back here when you're done. You can do so by hitting the BACK BUTTON on your browser. :-)
