This picture really shows our entire camp looking up from the pond. You can see the new addition
to the left and the woodshed in back of camp.
This is Carl and this was his sled. On our way back into
camp he got a little too close to our friend Scott and put a little dent in his sled...he was a taking a real
close look at it with Scott in this photo
Unfortunately for Carl this log was on the side of the trail the next night and he hit it going about 30 mph,
doing severe damage to the above sled. The moral to the story...."Never look back when riding..."
This is one photo of the results of the nasty ice storm in northern NY in January 1998. This is one of teh many telephone poles that were just snapped and left in the snow for spring. The damage is immense. Large trees were literally stripped of their branches. I have never seen anything like it in my life. There were numerous towns and villages that were without power for weeks when temperatures were well below zero.
When you're riding the trails you tend to work up a sweat as it is a very physical ordeal when you ride the trails (sort of like moto cross racing). My sister in law thought it was funny when I took of my helmet and the steam was rising of my head. This may show in the photo above.
One Sunday afternoon in January we finally had enough snow around home to go for a ride over to some friends This is Nic in front of me as we leave my garage. The boys always want to go for a ride but when they get bored
This is John and me (holding a refreshment
) trying to get our friends Kitty Kat snowmobile started for the boys to play on.
This is EJ and our friend son on the little kitty kat (made by Arctic Cat
). They were having just a little fun!!!!
