After completing two minor climbs, namely Mt. Makiling via Sto. Tomas, Batangas and Mt. San Cristobal, Quezon, the PLDT Mountaineering trainees vested all their skills and energies to conquer Mt. Banahaw. The Itinerary was prepared by Chris Modina.

Mt. Banahaw, the "Mystic Mountain", is the highest among the dormant volcanoes in the Batangas, Laguna and Quezon area. It stands around 2200 meters (7260 ft.) above sea level. The mountain itself is shaped like an open pot with a deep scar in its southern rim. This opening, which looks like an incomplete 3/4 oval forms the Crater of this dormant volcano.

For the trainees, it was their first time to go on a climb without any PLDTMC Core Member within their group. Under the able leadership of Chris Modina (CustRel), the Core group acted as observers to determine if the PLDTMC trainees will exhibit proper decorum on a Major Climb. This climb also aims to develop their leadership potentials, cammaraderie and interdependence.
