Bataan National Park

Bataan was the site of the last stand of American and Filipino forces when Japan forcefully entered the country in World War II and was made a National Park at the conclusion of the war in 1945.  It surrounds Mt. Natib (1,287 m) and it's size was reduced several times to the current area of 23,668 ha.

The park is located about 60 km west of Manila in the Bataan Province and the town of Dinalupihan looks like a good starting point. Nearby is Roosevelt National Park (1,335 ha) created in 1933.
