The First Breakaway
A shot taken towards the upper Ebor Falls, showing the first breakaway. Take note of the sword grass!

Seizure 12m 15
Will jamming his way up this textbook crack.

Caballero 13m 16
Greg Andrews prepares for trench warfare. Although it doesn't look it, the offwidth is almost vertical (the camera was tilted quite a way back to get this shot).

Snakes and Ladders 12m 13
Me leading this pleasant easy climb during our first visit in Easter '97.

Fear and Loathing 15m 17
Will poses for the camera on Fear and Loathing, during our first visit in Easter '97. "Fingers" (grade 18) is the obvious narrowing crack visible to the right.

Fear and Loathing

Twist 10m 16
Fighting my way up this sustained jam crack, until....Ping!

Twist

Ping!

Having seen my hands turned into mince meat by this route, Greg wisely decides to tape up!

Greg Andrews taping A good view of the crack (and not a bad view of the climb, either!).

Rooflet 15m 19
A couple of shots of Will attempting one of the harder Ebor classics. While he didn't manage to get up the climb without some aid, Greg got up it free on second (after quite a few attempts at the crux, however!). When he finally pulled the crux, Greg felt it was more like 22 (although to be quite honest, none of us are experienced at crack climbing).

Local Inhabitants
A red-bellied black snake and a brown snake fighting near the carpark (Easter '97).
