Lindfield Rocks

A very popular crag with easy access by public transport. Catch a train to Lindfield station then walk east along Tryon Rd for about 5 blocks (20 minutes) until you reach Archbold Road. The crag is behind the tennis courts on the eastern side of Archbold Road.

The crag is between 5 and 12 metres in height with numerous toprope anchors. There are problems from V0 to V9 on the main crag (primarily vertical climbing) and from V2 to V7 on the Pipe Dreams boulder (overhanging problems) 30m further on.

Lindfield Rocks faces north but is quite shady, so it can be climbed almost any time (see Photo for a photo taken on a sunny summer's afternoon). It also dries out quickly after rain.

The guide for the area is the newly published Sun, Surf and Sandstone online guide book. This crag is described here.
