Welcome to the CCR home page.

Camp Castle Rock will begin its 39th year of Boy Scout Summer Camping in the summer of 1997. The Four Lakes Council will be in its 78th year of scout camping. Castle Rock was donated by Consolidated Papers Inc., Wisconsin Public Service Corporation and Wisconsin Power and Light in 1956. The first summer camp at CCR was held in 1958.

Since then the camp has continually improved, and is now one of the best patrol method camps in Wisconsin. We have served the youth of Wisconsin since 1958 and plan to continue this excellence well into the next century.

Camp Castle rock is 214 beautiful wooded acres on the Castle Rock Flowage section of the Wisconsin river. It is just 20 minutes off of I 94 outside of Mauston. CCR has two beautiful beaches to operate its waterfront programs, and yet plenty of woodlands for camping and the classic scouting experience.

Check out the camps history for more heritage and find out why CCR is what it is today.

Programs

Programs at Camp Castle Rock range from Sailing to Shotgun Shooting and are staffed by some of the best scouts that the northern midwest has to offer. These programs have been developed from the staff's many years of experience and ideas. And the program is always changing with new information and ideas. And new programs are being added every year as a more diverse staff is hired.

Staff

The staff of this camp comes mainly from southern Wisconsin. Our staff is well trained in their specific areas, and many are National Camp School certified. This excellence in a staff helps us bring the best possible experience to the youth of Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

Tichora Lodge

Camp Castle Rock has a well-developed symbiotic relationship with its Order of the Arrow lodge, including several recent important contributions to programs
