Nat H's Eagle Project
Landscaping the New Parking Area
for the Community Presbyterian Church in Danville
The
Community Presbyterian Church in Danville was running out of parking for their
congregation. They were able to work out a deal with their neighbors that had
them redirect their neighbor's access road and provide a space that would allow
the church to park an additional 30 cars. Nat recognized that the parking area
would look rather plain after the construction, so he worked up a plan to
beautify the area with new trees and shrubs. The neighbors would also have
their new access road lined with new shrubs as well.
The
construction of the new road and parking area took longer than expected because
of the weather, but the weather didn't stop Nat and the Scouts of Troop 807!
While it had rained heavily the day before and all night long, when the crew of
amateur landscapers showed up, the sun came out and the worst that happened was
a few sprinkles. And then there was the mud ...

Nat
begins the day with a few instructions. (Leadership, it's all about looking
important and a lot of pointing.)

Joey
and Richard plant a tree while the others plant groundcover.

Jonathan
& Roberto work together while Austin, Michael G, Thang, Nick, Winston, Adam
and Wayne work on the access road.

Our
Hospitality Crew of Kathy, Julieta, Luci and Laurie kept everyone well fed.
Good thing everyone brought an extra pair of shoes.

Erik
and Michael need a lot of cleaning! Chris passes out the last of the
groundcover to plant.
