North Channel Cruise
Summer 1996
Log Excerpts

Robins Nest left Whitehall Michigan on the morning of June 19, 1996. Our cruise took us north on Lake Michigan, east through the Straits of Mackinaw, across the Northern end of Lake Huron, through the DeTour Passage, and finally into the North Channel. We were gone a total of 58 days and covered 935 nautical miles. Most of our time was spent at anchor. We spent 49 nights on the hook and 9 nights in slips.

The entire log of our trip is over 50 page longs. The excerpts on this page discuss the discoveries we made about our boat, the North Channel, and ourselves. We have also included some humorous events from the trip. We hope you enjoy reading about our adventures and welcome any comments or questions.
