Muay Thai

The Word: A nice little sideshow to 1-2-3.
The Crag Classic: Chicken Head (6c+/23) gets raved about.
Sun/shade: As a North facing wall, it gets shade all day during Sep-Mar, and sun all day from Apr-Oct.
Wet weather options: Worth a try, especially given the short easy access. Seepage is fairly likely on all the stalactites.
Grades: 5-7b (14-26)

The Details: A couple of steep routes up stalactite systems are the main attraction here. A nice enough little wall, and close to being the most easily accessible crag in Raylae.

Access: Wander down to the S end of Raylae East beach. Muay Thai is the short overhung section you get to first (on the R of the photo to the R, with the bottom half obscured by bush), then 1-2-3 Crag is the beautiful white and orange wall 15m further around.

Again, this crag is subject to the tide. It might still be possible to do the routes at high tide, but it'll be a real pain to keep your shoes, packs and rope dry so it's pretty much not worth going to if within ~1 hour of high tide.

Described L to R.

Side Show 12m 5 (15) (OS)
The leftmost route (ie last route before 1-2-3 Crag). An ok warm up, up a slightly slabby series of grooves and tufas, with a steeper juggy finish.

* Nuat Hin 15m 6a+ (19) (OS)
A bit inconsistent but several nice moves. Starts just R of SS then slabs up R to the nice reachy crux moves on pockets through the polished bulge (maybe even 20). Then trend up R to the anchors in the back of the cave. You'll land in the water when lowering off, if within 1 hour of high tide.

1-2-3 Crag and Muay Thai
Paradise!

A view of 1-2-3 Crag (on the left) and Muay Thai (on the right) from where the boats from Krabi drop you. Note the steep section at far right - the classics Chicken Head (6c+) and Muay Thai (6b+) blast up those stalactites.
Paradise!
This is the view south along Raylae East beach as you approach Muay Thai. The big orange wall has no routes on it!
