Wonders of Nature
- The Chic-Choc mountains, a northern outcrop of the Appalachians, are one of the few
places where caribou, white-tailed deer and
moose share the same spaces.
- Bonaventure Island has a nesting colony of tens of thousands of northern gannets.
There are hundreds of thousands of sea birds in total.
- In Forillon National Park, you can see hundreds of nesting sea birds,
whales and seals,
as well as moose, black bear and other woodland animals. Here the Appalachians end in
impressive limestone cliffs overlooking the ocean. The Penouille sector of the park
includes salt marsh and sand dunes.
