    The leader of Elbrus programs and mountain guide, Master of Sports, posesses an international mountain guide certificate, has been working as a guide for Elbrus ascents for more then 10 years. Personal records include 17 ascents on peaks higher then 7.000 meters on Pamirs and Tien-Shan and among them 10 successful guiding of 43 clients from US, France and Spain in nineties, successful leading of a Russian expedition to Danali (West Ridge) in June 1996, on the moment living in St.Petersburg.

    An international mountain guide since 1989 on the Caucasus,Master of Sports, guided 6 successful ascents on peak Communism (Pamirs) for Norwegine and Spanish teams, has 10 ascents on the 7 thousanders in Russia, a great downhill skier!

    A native Balkarian, grown up on the slopes of Elbrus, few people know Elbrus better then Sasha. He is a member of the Elbrus National Rescue Team Service since 1990, guided many successful Elbrus climbs to the top with American groups, the champion of Elbrus in snowbording on winter 2000. He is living in Terskol, Elbrusia.

    Lisa Pahl

    A native Bovarian, she visited Elbrusia in 1992 and since that time decided to live at Elbrusia. Lisa is a very experienced mountaineer and downhill skier, knows fluently Russian, English and Japanese, mother-tongue German, has excellent communication skills. She is living in Terskol, Elbrusia.

    Native Balkarian, the member of the local federal mountain rescue team, rewarded as the Best Guide of 2000 season. He has lots of successful ascents in Elbrusia and Pamirs. He is living in Terskol village.

    Kostya Landburg

    Born on Kamchatka and graduated in Odessa (Crimea) Kostya came back to Kamchatka in sixties to be an adventure travel professional guide and since then for more then 40 years he has spent outdoors most of his life. His records account more then 200(!!) ascents on Avacha volcano and almost all volcanoes on Kamchatka, several extrem ski-tour expeditions on the north of Kamchatka, many hiking and rafting tours to remote volcanoes.
    Since 1994 Kostya is "Wild Russia" co-ordinator and programs leader in this region.




    Nina Nikiforova

    Since 1991 Nina is a constant horse back trekking leader at the Akem Lake Base Camp on the Altay mountains. Local shepards say Nina is a rare lady-to-know-all about the Altay and mt.Belukha.
    The Master of Sports in mountaineering Nina came with Wild Russia for horse back trek programs and as a mountain acsents supervisor in this region for many years. The famous climber Reinhold Messner visited the Altay in 1995 was quite impressed by Nina's organizational skills and profound knowledge of local customs (See also Our Picture's Gallery).
    For 7 years Nina has guided more then 15 foreign expeditions at the mt.Belukha from Germany, England, Holand and Finland. Her home is in St.Petersburg.
