      Camp Tomahawk

Now that schools almost out, Scouts have one thing on their mind and that is summer camp.  This year we will be going back to Tomahawk.  There have been many who have left us since last year and we'll be having others join us for their first week long camp. Tomahawk has always been fun.  From getting set up, to merit badges, to manhood races and final campfire.  As you can see from all of the pictures, there is the manhood race, and the skill activities on Friday are all lots of fun.  Whether it's lighting a match with an axe,               

(that is our scoutmaster Scott, lighting the match it in the picture), or pumping a cold bucket of the water.  By the way, this year we are planning on doing swim checks before we go up there. So this way we don't have to get in the freezing water.  Tomahawk has many things to offer like the merit badges. This is an easy way to earn merit badges in no time at all.  This year like every year, we need to earn at least 2 badges per guy so that we can earn our three bar award.  Our troop has earned the three bar every time we have gone there and WE don't want to be the ones to break the tradition. If we earn it we get FREE shakes at Dicks.  I'm really looking forward to camp this year and I hope all of you are too.
