Salt Water Fishing in BAJA

Now This Is What I Went Down There For.

In late June 1999, Larry Doyle and I flew down to The East Cape Area of Baja California, Mexico. Four wonderful days of big game fishing couldn't be beat. This is a 12 kilo (about 25 lbs), Dorado, or as they call it in Hawaii, Mahi-mahi. Check my fishing page for more pictures of the trip.

With no docks, the boats are driven right up on the beach which is located about 1 mile north of the hotel!

The Crew! Fish on!
Me, Larry, Peter, Dave, Dale,and Johnny Larry was so exhausted and bent over from fighting the lousy star drag on his reel that I had to tilt the camera to get him in the picture!

About 3 hours later 77lbs of tuna in the panga. The small one's mine. Larry's Tuna took two of us to hold up

My sailfish fights and breaks water!...Sailfish released!
Sailfish breaks water many times. Larry had one on at the same time but his broke off the hook. Hey let go of my nose!!

Yellowfin Tuna Sashimi every night. We all ate our fill and then some!
Larry says,I don't eat RAW FISH!!

Needle Fish; Wild, Fast, With teeth like razor blades, this fish swims faster than anything we've ever hooked. It's teeth ruined any line they touched! .

Put this WHERE? Can I use this to sew up this 'Salvation Army Shirt?
