Hello, my name is Mike Tichenor. I'm the webmaster for the Deep River Bowmen site. I've been involved in archery since I was a kid (that's August, 1962 in the picture above) but, wasn't seriously involved until 1979 when I moved from Kentucky to Indiana and joined Deep River Bowmen. I began bowhunting and competing in archery events held at the club and some other local clubs. My arsenal includes a PSE Laser Magnum, 47 lbs. w/Easton 2117's used for indoor; a PSE Mach 9.5, 67 lbs. w/ Easton 2213's for 3-D shooting and field archery; and an Oneida Eagle, 57 lbs. w/ Easton 2117's and Bear Razorhead Lights for hunting.

I am a Lifetime Member and the League Secretary for Deep River Bowmen, I am a Member of the IBA (Indiana Bowhunter Association, the NFAA/IFAA (National Field Archery Association/Indiana Field Archery Association), and a Lifetime Member of the CBA (Christian Bowhunters of America)

My most best shooting accomplishments include: 2000 NFAA/IFAA State Indoor Champion (BHFSL Class), 2000 and 1999 IBO (International Bowhunter Organization) Can-Am Indoor 300 Animal Round National Champion (MCA Class); 1999 NFAA/IFAA State American Round 3^rd Place (BHFSL Class), 1999 IFAA Hebron Town Shoot Champion (BHFSL Class), 1999 and 1998 IBA State Broadhead Champion (BHL Class), 1998 IBO World Qualifier Champion (MCA Class).

I am the father of two young adults, a boy 27, and a girl 25 who got married in 2007, and the husband of my wife, Sherrie for the last 29 years. When I'm not shooting a bow, I like to geocache, play golf and occasionally may be found within the confines of Mittal Steel. At work I am an Electrical/Instrument Technician (MTE) where I am responsible for maintenance planning and repair of the instrumentation and controls at #2 Basic Oxygen Furnace. I am also a Prison Minister and an Internet Bible Study teacher for the World Bible School.
