Wednesday September 5th. Progress on some of the dormitory rooms is made at the
hands of Edward's Ugandan team.
|

Reaching this height calls for some authentic Ugandan style scaffolding - first grow
some trees (or plant some trunks). Tie on some cross-pieces to rest on the walls -
this will present some obvious difficulties when adding more courses to the wall!
|

Ah, now we get some passing Kenyan (like Chege) to test it.
|

Friday September 7th. Shuttering above windows for the ring beam. Note the fine
English crafted washroom shutter windows.
|

Young Mark pours some ring beam. Steel is used to reinforce this, making it (hopefully)
earthquake-proof.
|

Front section (office, washrooms, kitchen, dining room) ready for ring beams. Note
the step in the floor - this was deliberate, but caused some struggles in the maths
department.
|

Tuesday September 11th. A few more courses of blocks above the ring beam to roof
level, and some door and window frames lend an impression of completeness to the
North-Eastern end.
|

As walls start climbing on the further side of the building, ring beam progress
past the front wall leaves us in reasonable shape for the coming of the chippies
on Thursday.
