Tuesday September 11th, as we all know, was a day of significant horror and turmoil in the world, and with radio news we were well informed of the US terrorist attacks by Wednesday morning. Our ability to pray and commit to our God the situation and our friends travelling out today was more than a comfort.

Wednesday September 12th. Graham Stephenson had joined us from Tanzania for a few days. He was poorly rewarded for his helpfulness by having to create 5 narrow cubicles and fit twisted doorframes into them!

Friday September 14th. Front of block up to roof height, with 7 degree slope down into centre courtyard. Dave (chippie from Worthing) has started the construction of the N-E corner drain gulley.

Monday September 17th. My last day before returning to the UK alone. Some of my newly-fitted wall plate showing on top of the wall on right. Arthur fits a window frame in the background. Sills were made from 4 inch blocks laid on their side.

Jamie works on fitting security bars to one of 45 window frames built on site.

Dining room windows in place.

A few hundred blocks piled up in front of west side. These were unloaded by hand from the lorries.

Mixing mortar can slow down a bit now.

First roof sheets!
Actually only corrugated tin, also a bit thin...
