Three Volcanoes in Three Days

South crater to Ngauruhoe summit and return
5 km, rising 641m, falling 641m 7.5hrs. (Daypack with some backup equipment)
After a good early breakfast, depart camp with or lightened loads for the long uphill trek to this volcanic summit, after visiting its highest point, we will then return via the route to base camp.
South crater down to Mangatepopo Road end
5.5 km, falling 530m, 3hrs. (Everything we took up there)
After pack up camp and putting it all on our backs we shall return back down along the track we came up on day one. Collect our vehicles, set up an overnight camp at the Road end shelter or using tents (depending on tourists and weather)
