Summer Activities

Troop 145 has two main activities planned for this summer.  All of the scouts and scouters may attend a Merit Badge camp at El Ranco Cima.  The dates are Sunday, June 13 through Saturday, June 19.  They will have a chance to work on four or five merit badges each if they have accieved the rank of first class.  The scouts that are not first class or above will be able to enroll in the first year camper program and get many of the requirements and merit badges they need to get the first class rank.

All of the scouts that are first class and above and are 14 years of age and up will be able to go to a high adventure camp in Canada.  We will be leaving the 19th of June and will come back the 27th of June.  We will be out in the wilderness of northern Canada, near Fort McMurry for six days cannoing.  We will not be in contact with any other people for 6 days so it will be quite a unique experiance for all who attend.

I hope to have a page up for both of these camps with lots of pictures and some scouts written accounts of the trip that they went on.
