Hawaii
Troop 687
Hello from Daisy troop 687 in Sunny Hawaii!
There are 10 girls and 2 leaders in our troop. We are from Oahu, the 3rd largest Hawaiian island. Which is 5hrs flight time from the west coast of the U.S.A. It is warm all year round, 80 degrees is our average temperature. In the "winter months" there are 12-20 ft waves and a lot of surfers. In the summer you can snorkel and see the green sea turtles, and you can visit the beach all year round!
As a troop we have visited the police k9 unit, had an English tea party for Juliette Lowe's birthday, marched in the Veterans Day Parade, attended a song fest and earned our connections patch. We are looking forward to Thinking Day when we can display all our postcards. We have traded all around the world.
(just a note...) Our troop is going to go to Hawaii in 2002. Maybe we will meet up with troop 687!!

We are based at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, a US Army post. All of us have parents in the military and live here for about three years before our family moves on. Life here is not always what you see on Baywatch Hawaii but it sure is nice. You can't beat the scenery, the ocean or the weather. This is one of only a few places where you can Surf on Christmas Day. Drop by and see us in the land of Aloha.
