Once again we headed for Pinjarra park for the annual Bush Bash , our car was in still looking pretty good and we were confident of a good showing in this years event .
Scrutineering proved to be probably the hardest and arduous test of our vehicle ever . You could have been mistaken watching the scrutineering for thinking we were entering the World Rally Championship rather than a Venturer Driving Event.
After surviving that little experience it was on to the events . "Go to Whoa" , "clover Leaf " and the Starters Course just to name a few . It gave us a chance for everyone to get in the car and have a drive through at least one of the events also about this stage the weather started to take a turn for the worse and the first of several showers began to tumble down with the Night Rally yet to start.
Getting out on the track in the Night Rally we soon found the conditions to be absolutely treacherous and getting traction a real problem as we slipped and slid all over the place . Garry did a good job in negotiating the track in really difficult conditions.
The rest of the weekend went in a similar fashion and come the presentations on the Monday afternoon it was quite a pleasant surprise to be placed 5th overall in a field of around 25 cars with a few of the Venturers gaining places in individual events listed below
