Hi folks, This page was constructed to have "Fun" with the BEAR population in the Sparta, NJ area. We have a few Bear here in Sparta and each individual that I have met has a pet name for the Bear they saw. Why not find out if your Bear is the same Bear that comes to my neighborhood. What I would like for you to do is send an email to me with your name, address of sighting, time and date of sighting, bear tag number, tag color or colors ie. white/red,and a note as to the Bears activities. If you have a Lat/Long of the sighting, it would really help. I will then start a database and put a map up on this page to pinpoint the travels of our Bear. Anyone with "Ham Radio" can contact me or my wife, N2KTO/N2TVM, on 146.535 pl 250.3 with the sighting. It is possible to monitor the travels of the, "Wired", bear but to date I have no "Direction Finding Equipment".

If the Page seems disjointed, I'm sorry as this is the first draft. I have added a map with the sightings in our area and hope to put your BEAR in the lime light soon. Any pictures you have scanned would be great. I don't know how this will turn out but it should be fun. If you would, please pass along the page address to any friends that might enjoy it. Our bear was named "Bubba" by Susan, Todd and Mickey Gartman. "Bubba's" wife "Bubbette" and some cubs "Bubbito" and "Bubbita". Come and visit regularly.
