Birdwatching is one of my passions. My land, the island of Hispaniola, has a great number of bird species, of which a large amount are endemic birds. Endemic means that a species is limited exclusively to the island. Bellow are only a few of the many hundreds of natives species found on the island.
To see the scientific name of each species, just place the cursor on top of an image. An asterisk (*) next to the name means it is an endemic.
Please be patient while all the pictures download.
