As for me, I'm going for a nice wisdom tooth removal surgery and everyone tells me bad news. First the dentist at CMPB tells me that the tooth in front of the wisdom tooth had decayed when I went to check as to why I was having a toothache. So he fills it
up... 2 hour process..govt style dilly-dallying..Then he tells me all about the wisdom tooth... its impacted..ie. growing horizontally and trying to push the next tooth out.. So I have to have a surgery...THEN he shows me my x-ray of the area and points o
t 3 nerves right under the tooth area.. He tells me got 1 to 5% chance of nerve damage.. ie, if you slap me on the right side of my face, I'll probably ask you what did you do coz I won't feel it at all...arrgh.. That's not the worst... When my Major foun
out about my upcoming operation, he told me all about his experience with an impacted wisdom tooth removal.. 2hr+ surgery, multiple jabs for anasthesia.. and how it hurt like hell after that... Well...so I'm going for surgery on 03 May that's a Monday af

Actually, i quite like the Safra Resort, even though it's at Changi - and along the route of my 10km runs and route marches too (though we haven't reached that far yet). Btw , i'm a member too. The place's quite big, facilities are not bad but it's quite

I like engineering, close to loving it. It's the exams that I hate. But the subjects are so applicable to things you see everyday, you can't wait for graduation so that you can put what

Hmm... I'm trying to get my point across coherently ... Basically, I think that sometimes, not achieving up to your standards can make you feel discouraged and make you hate something that you would otherwise have liked. But you just have to sort of separ
te the two matters. Maybe it's true that you dislike engine on the whole. I guess you'll have to ask yourself that honestly, cause no one can answer that for you. And if you really do, then you'll have to really consider changing field while it's still no
too late. Past the freshman year will be very hard, I think...
But if you think you still pretty uch like it on the overall, juat that for SOME reason, you can't do it, I guess part one is finding that reason and part two is deciding which path you'd prefer to go -- one where you'll do well but you don't like, or one
that you like but won't do well. Actually, i don't think I'm cut out for social sciences at all since I can't write very well and I've been in Science too long -- must have let the critical thinking side of my brain rot away for the past 12 years.... But
espite pdoing pretty badly in my courses (I think I must have gotten one of the lowest GPAs in the Cornell Singaporean freshman community last semester), I still like it. I still think it's interesting. And maybe that's all that matters. GPA (btw.. that's
grade point average.. sorry I didn't mention that earlier) isn't everything... I think that University is really the last only time in school that we have more variety in choosing what we want to do. And I feel we should really do something where we can r
ally learn something ad enjoy it.
I'm not saying that I hate science. I still like it. Just that .. I guess there's always a time for change. Change isn't always bad...

Well, I must say that the party really does not stop...at Commando camp that is.... just ended a pleasant if not zobo 2 week leave( i can just hear all those screams from those having their exams.) and now back in camp...life can't get any better....
We had a charlie mike session of GTO...anyone familiar with the fabled Japanese comic really shld watch it...
It's abt this Ah-beng Jap guy (played incidently by one of the Beach Boys) who decides to become a (gosh!!!) school-teacher....
Problem is...he's a perv...( he squats under escalators....and has lotsa videos in his room...which he shares with his other perv police friend) and well he's basically an ah-beng...
He becomes the bane of the school...and always at loggerheads with this really pretty teacher...but he still falls for her....
But this guy (GTO stands for GREAT TEACHER ONIZUKA) has real charisma and a heart...he goes out to reform those problem students with an unusual sensitivity to their angst and through his bochup and often unorthodox ways, wins favour and respect from the
tudents who all despised him.....we had a 7 episode marathon...with the harcore ones staying till 6am to finish the entire 12 episode series....
And well basicaly, i slept the entire of today (yes it's possible in army camps to do so) only just waking for meals....and now i'm back home...on a special day off....till tomolo nite....
well...abt those pressing issues of adulthood...yes they do just spoil your day dun they?....depressing as they are...they are also inevitable....well...I dun really think that charging into life, esp adulthood is gonna be a good idea, take it as it comes

Ok ppl...here's the bad news...Its going to be very hard accomodating everybody, in fact, near impossible, so here are 2 suggestions. Firstly, we can have the chalet in May to accomodate the NUS Medicine ppl and the hostelites/rag com/etc..

ather relaxed. Usually you find this sort of thing in a small town or in a suburban area, not in a big city. I haven't been to NYC but I heard from friends who have that you, as a visitor, can actually feel the stress that the people there feel..
somehow I kinda feel like singapore is slowly moving towards the NYC mentality -- everything in a rush. can't quite figure out whether that is good or bad... I guess it's inevitable, but somehow i just dun quite like the thought of it...
oh well.. that was just my two cents worth.. nothing much, i guess... I had fun in boston.. hope you guys are having a nice time at home too... of course you can't always have fun.. i have tonnes of work to do during school term, but breaks like these do

me back from thailand too!!! this morning at 7am.... Din feel at all fatigued this morning, decided to hop on down to RJ since it's Weds....Odac is picking up, the j1s have finally been inaugurated, and things are starting to look better...thing is, on my
way home, started to feel very sick, a lil feverish, diarrheoa just extreme cold....damn...what a wet blanket to my days off!!! Heck...shall just sleep on it...

Wen, Jer, Hq....I resolve to sort out my photos this break....and yes...do the planning for the trip instead of just sitting on it....urrgh....
Thailand was hot...damn hot....luckily we had plenty of ice-cream and ice-blended drinks....
And hah...the thai girl who blends the drinks...very very cute....can ask Marv...He'll vouch for me...too bad i cannot speak thai....
Plenty of cheap and huge soft toys, Prada and Gucci heaven...and great for all those who wished they could eat endless ice-creams on the cheap....
I DID!!! YAY!!!!..
Anyway, just realised how much of convs I've missed, and Suzhen, thank goodness ur safe...do take care over there ok?? we want to see u back in one piece.. :)
anyway....to all those with exams...once again...
take heart....and just to finish off...really missed Spore and u pple in thailand....the heat..the pressure from our evaluation exercise...wah lau...my team was almost falling out...wanted so much to come back and see u pple....okay....enuff sentiments...
