Hey Howie, have you forgotten that I have been a palm user as well? I have used a Psion before (more of fiddled with it, not use) but I didn't like the interface. Maybe because I'm not used to it. I do agree that a keyboard input is necessary for taking down notes, but I don't use the palm to take down notes actually. And if I do, there is always the palm portable keyboard (which is more $$ gone). Palm isn't being overrated if you have uses for it. Now that I'm on IA, it has been pretty handy. But I must say that I do not actually need a colour palm...that part of the m505 is the attraction, as well as the useless aspect.
And if you are using Smiles, don't enter any spaces!

wow....so many entries up since...u guys are really busy eh? siwei..u were talking abt ballroom dance... what dance are u talking abt? cha x2? jive? i tink yvonne has learnt too... weikai...from my experience in using a palm...actually i tink it's better to get a device with a keyboard input interface...like the Psion...coz graffiti is ok..but can be tedious when it comes down to taking lotsa notes....and the palm is overrated lar...it just makes one more device that u have to carry ard wherever u go... am so glad that all my JCRC work is over...can start to focus on my work....but got so many projects to do...sigh...no break siah... no "my girl" blues for me...fortunately....life's too complicated liao....poor HQ.... : rolleyes : how abt another pool session this weekend? craving for a gathering and some pool... anyone game?

Harhar guys it's good to know I'm not alone. When I saw the face it was a slow fear...you know, like the longer you look at the face, the more sinister it seems to be, and for a moment you thought her eyes moved or something, that kind of fear. But then when the sound loaded, wow, that was an instant scare! I could feel my heart jump man! Somemore my speaker volume was pretty loud. But pretty exciting huh...
Penny, someone posted it in a forum somewhere, and I hand itchy went to open the URL. Curiosity kills the timid man. And Siwei I had enough warning too before hand, cos the people in the forum were giving warnings, but I still got a scare. Hmmm, you must be an awfully brave girl man.

Xinyan, I'm not that tech-savvy lar, I'm more of a sucker for tech stuffs. Never could resist the temptation to buy them (thankfully most of the time my empty wallet made it compulsory for the resistance), altho I may not need them that much. Actually I don't think I will buy the Palm or the digital camera eventually, I'm just leaving that as a possibility, a dream . If you want info of techno stuffs, there are loads of websites out there! Palmstation.com, cnet.com, zdnetasia.com, etc etc. Most of the time I just go there and drool.....Oh yeah, feel free to use the idea for your class journal. Concept is free anyway right? Especially when I didn't apply for patent.;)
Oh yeah, I got a challenge here not for the faint hearted. If you think u are brave enough, turn on your speakers (but not too loud, don't want to cause a hysteria), and click here. I don't know if you can take it calmly, but I did freak out a bit tho it was broad daylight. Jason, Siwei, Chunda, and all in the US, please do me a favour? Would you guys look out for news on the release of the new Palm M505 from Palm Inc? It is rumoured to be released in the US sometime bet March 19 to March 21, but not too sure how true that is. It is supposed to be released together with another model, the M500. It is rumoured to look like this:

Please let me know of the date of release, the price and if possible what the bundle consists of. Mail me or post on the conv to let me know ok? Thanks! Very tempted to buy but it is estimated to be more than S$800. It's either digital camera or this, or save up.

Penny, I don't think us of A level econs knowledge can answer your question. Maybe people like Siwei or Chunda can. Definitely not me! Taking econs was the gravest mistake of my life. Anyway hang in there, will see you in July then!

HELP Urgh, I hate management and econs. But then again, I qute like the subjects, I just hate me lectuers. Anybody can help me with my essay? Hehe, how do I analyse an investment project in terms of risk and value for money? What does it all mean? And what is a hurdle rate for investments?
Oh well, it's two more weeks of school for me, then a 5 week holiday before my exams start, urgh. Hope the rest of you having exams are in a better state than me! =) Oh, and I've bought my air-ticket home, see you all round June 30!

Sorry for so many changes all at once. I have changed the security structure of the conv, to make it safer and more robust. You should also see everything running faster (it did run faster for me).
Now you will be required to enable cookies in order to login (even if you choose not to use autologon). All new browsers should support cookies, and you should not disable them. If you are using cookie-filtering program, you won't be able to login too.
To logout completely, you can either close your browser or select LOGOUT from the menu. But take note that LOGOUT will reset autologon. Thus if you are using autologon, you do not need to LOGOUT, unless you want to disable it.
Autologon function still works as before. And also, once you changed your info, autologon will reset.
And a few additions: I have increased the max size of the fields for your info, cos I noticed some fields weren't long enuff. And the search results now creates clickable email addresses. Means when you successfully found someone using the search, clicking on the email address enables you to mail him/her straightaway.

Yeah Weikai, you are right. It should be the 2nd sound. I was pointing out that you left you the 'h' and made that mistake. Don't have Chinese dictionary with me =)

On this note, if I make any mistake in Conv, hopefully The Error-prone Defender/s of the English/Chinese Language will correct me.
Last thing, what does 'into the glue' mean?

WRONG! It's Zhi3 not Zhi2....although when 2 words of 3rd sound are read together, the 1st word is to be read as the 2nd sound. But in Hanyu Pinyin, we still put it's original sound, which is the 3rd sound. Because if you look in the dictionary for Zhi2, you won't find that word.

How fun is ballroom dancing? I was watching my College Team practice and it looks quite uncomfortable. I'm sure I'll be trodding over my partner if I try Anyway I got no time to try... going clubbing is enuff dancing for me I hope all these icons work otherwise my entry will look abit funnie Oh the chocolate theme I see what I can come up wif, but it'll take some time since I got an Essay to write this week. I didn't take any pics of chocolates when I went Belgium leh... the chocolate there is heavenly to look at! How does it taste? I haven't the foggiest idea... Long time never see you Jason, finally reappear into the glue. Yeah you could have equaled me if those two smiles turned out heehee. Hmm the embarrassed one does look like yawning . Harhar not my fault I swiped the icons from another forum. Thought the idea is quite cute so tried to put it in conv.
Don't we hate it when the two adverts from hypermart pop up? I found a software to filter that out, it's called InterMute. Quite cool, it can filter out cookies, ads, popups, javascripts etc, and you can choose which to filter, and also which websites to filter. One thing bad is it has to sit in your system tray to work, and it uses its own proxy in order to do the filtering. But overall it works fine, no slowdown in speed, and most imptly no irritating popups!It's a shareware tho, 14-day trial, but, hehheh...we always got our ways to get around that. If you want to try it out, go to download.com and search for it. And if you think 14-day is too short, email me for the 'ginseng'

Siwei, there are loads of cute guys here man! But none who knows ballroom dancing lar. Don't laugh, but I was at one time thinking of taking it up, just for fun. The cheapest in town will probably be at YMCA...see how, maybe I will take it up sometime in the future.
Oh yeah Alvin, the chocolate theme sounds good. So can we depend on you to come up with it? HiHi! Oh I've been to Amsterdam too! Spent every night at the Red Light district. After all go on holiday should spend every night walking around yupz? But Paris was damn damn cold when I was there with Sywei and walking ard wasn't very comfortable. The Ferris Wheel ride and all the hotdogs and crepes kinda made up for it though... XiuFeng you should go Brussels and Paris first b4 coming to London. London isn't that nice and the air is foul over here. The new fonts are great. Nice job Tweek =) The buttons dun fit in that nicely though... Maybe we should try a chocolate theme for the next revamp. MnM buttons sound tasty. Anyone watched Chocolat at the movies? The chocolat just looks so yummy but the story not very nice in the middle part.

ANNOUNCEMENT

The conv now has an added convenience. With the use of cookies, you can have the choice of autologon. At the login page, check the autologon box before you login. Once that is done, you won't have to login again (in 30 days) when you are using the same computer to access the conv.
However, a word of warning: Do not use autologon when you are using a shared terminal, like in your computer cluster in school or in a cybercafe. The reason is obvious.
If you have disabled cookies in your browser (the default is enabled), the autologon feature will not work for you, thus you'll have to manually login everytime.
The cookie will have a lifespan of 30 days. Means after every month your cookie will die and you'll have to manually logon once. If you think 1 month is too short, please comment, I'll prolong it.
If you want to cancel autologon, simply go to change my info, and submit (with or without actually changing any info). The cookie will be deleted.
This feature has been tested to work on IE5 and Netscape 4.5, it should work on all newer browsers anyway. Any problems, please let me know! Thanks.

Some pretty major changes to the conv. Originally wanted to dress it up nicely, but end up that the title bar looks damn ugly with the MnM buttons. Sigh..too tired to change it, so just leave it as it is. Basically the entire conv is renovated to look more pleasing. Any comments welcomed.

Weikai: dun worry, i figured wat u were trying to do, i was just like u, trying to be funny :). yeah i feel sad about mr tay's leaving also. got reason wat, coz he's like kind of a link to rjc + odac. i went back to rj on thurs actually. the j2s all very friendly, i even got to see the odac room. jason, the room is very untidy!! and they took down the partition, so the room is like cooler and looks bigger. they fixed the fans, the lights, and i think the door lock(?). oh yeah, then i think the j2s had something against ms poon. something about ms poon having something against odac??? anyway, it's quite siao. seems like mr tay and ms poon STILL cannot get along or something. den the whole school seems to call ms poon mr poon. very mean.

Oh toking abt BTc, it took a while for the fact that the sec1s when I was in sec4 are now J3s to sink into me....well..well.. Aiyo Penny you very good eh... Got so much work to do still got time to gossip about SongHai =) So BTC was fun? That's great but we gotta grow up lah. Every year go back to BTC also feels funnie after a while when we're so much older then the J1s. The only other batches I keep in contact with are our immediate seniors and juniors. That's enuff for me mostly. It's sad that Mr. Tay is leaving only if he's gonna miss lots what he does with ODAC. We all want him to be happy ya? Esp after all the great times ahe gave us and all the times he delayed our dinner till the gate closed. I get nightmares that Joshua is gonna nitpick my English. It's really bad esp when I type in a rush =)
