Willis Wildlife

The 1st photo includes hundreds of 'Hermit Crabs' that are scattered over the island for most of the day, however at night they come out of hiding in their thousands and it is hard to walk around the island at night without stepping on one.  The little fella on the right is a gheko, these fellas love to jump inside your softdrinks or anything sweet when you're not looking.

Booby Birds are literally in their tens of thousands, and love just gliding in the wind as below, just waiting to drop a large sized vanilla thickshake on their prey.  The big fella on the right (not me, the other one) is in nesting season at the moment, and we usually spot between 1 and 4 a night digging holes to lay their eggs.  Unfortunately I have the unenviable task of inserting steel tags in their legs, which they do not enjoy and either do I, as they do puncture their skin.   The reason is for keeping track of their numbers and growth rate.
