The above photo as you can see is our island golf course, however it's appearance has changed a little since the chooks ate all the grass.
However to combat the problem I built another as seen below -
This photo unfortunately shows the golf course in its entirety. The sand bar - which is now my island golf green, formed after cyclone Rona pushed heavy swells and wind form the North for 2 weeks, resulting in the island changing drastically in shape & hence my golf driving range. The tee off at the bottom of the photo was built by nailing some floor boards to a wooden crate and then fixing some carpet on top. As you can see it is by far and away the most challenging hole on the island! |
After loosing the 30 golf balls that I brought out with me on the bottom of the ocean, I made up some floating ones out of the 'rubber bungs' on the left, & with the help of Kim's prezzy & the ever reliable - fix anything 'duck tape', problem solved! They travel the 120 metres to the green with a six iron at ease. |
A view of the island green + someone who answers to the name 'Sharky'

Once the golf got a bit repetitive, it was
time to build a basketball Ring!
It's a little beauty" - if I don't mind saying so myself, It took exactly one
week to build, & is made entirely out of wood ie. no Duck
tape! Although it is a basketball Ring, due to it's unusual shape it is probably better called a 'Basketball Square' or 'A Toilet with a View!' - however again it does the job, infact it is so strong that you can hang of it, just as 'Air Gilligan' is about to do!
