These dogs of ours sure love to work, so in addition to running in front of our sled or gig, we take them to weight pulls. Comet recently earned his fifth and final leg toward his weight pull excellent title (Working Weight Pull Dog Excellent) and is now known as Tarnish's Artic Streak, WTD, CGC, WWPD, WWPDX. His brother, Glacier, just finished his working weight pull title and earned his first leg toward his excellent title at the same pull. He is now Tarnish's Mountain Majestic, CGC, TT, WWPD.
Here are some pictures from a couple of weight pulls that we've attended. Unfortunately, we don't have any pictures from the most recent pull in Cleveland, Ohio, where Glacier pulled 1819 pounds for his first excellent leg, and Comet pulled 3505 pounds (!!) for his final leg on his excellent title. But we have lots of witnesses, as five dogs (all Malamutes) successfully pulled that weight!
