Little more need be said about the beauty to be found at this
national treasure. While the valley is certainly the main attraction
for visitors, hiking trails abound everywhere within the park's
borders.
In Summertime (and this could start from late June to
late July), trails through the higher elevations of the
park, including Touolomne Meadows and Glacier Point, are a little
less crowded than the valley floor and, as a plus, tend to lead
downhill (mostly), to the valley floor. One note of caution
to all visitors to the park, there is water everywhere and it
is cold and fast moving with dangerously slippery conditions.
