MY WING 190
This is my KITES Page.It is my most recent hobby.
MY KITES:
- WING 190 (PURPLE): Carbon frame.2*20m 70Kg. Dyneema lines.Ripstop nylon sail.
- WING 120 (RED): Fiber glass frame.2*20m 45Kg.Polyester lines.Ripstop nylon sail.
- ACE:Stack of 3 Acrobatic diamonds.Plastic rods and plastic bag sail.
I like to go to the beach in Barcelona to see people flying all kind of kites and they help you if you're learning .
Nowadays kites are classified in three groups:
Decorative and fight kites:They used to have big dimensions and are controlled with a single line.Inside the decoratives we can find a subgroup that are the BOX Kites , tridimensional structures formed by cubes or boxes.
STUNT KITES:They can have two , three or four lines to control them.The main caracteristic is maniobrability , being more acrobatic with more lines.Inside this group we find the Deltas ,with a wide range of models with variations of the basic structure ,the QUAD or four lines KITES (also known as Revolutions) which shape is formed by two triangles(VV) and have the ability to make thousand-n-one tricks with a milimètric precision (if you coordinate all the movements ) and also there's a big group gran half-way with the decoratives:the TRAINS (or STACKS of kites (twenty or even more) with the same caracteristics that are attached to the same control lines and they move at the same time.
POWER-KITES:They used to be of big dimensions and the most popular structure is the Parafoil of 2 or 4 square meters .The main caracteristic of this kites is pulling strength.They're used to drag the "Pilot" over the sand , water, with buggies or skis.Also for high jumping suspending the pilot on the air.Can be attatched in STACK to obtain more pulling and need lines that resist more than 100 o 200 Kg .
