The Tackle
Well...I started Coin-fishing about 6 years ago with a ol' "Rod" I picked up at a Florida pawn Shop.
It didn't have any Discrimination at all...but, I found my first Buffalo Nickle(1939) and a large Mans Gold Ring. Well....
It didn't take me long to realize I needed a much better "Rod"...
So, I bought the Bounty Hunter Big Bud Pro 220.
I found my first silver Quarter with it....and a Whole lot of Wheat Pennies.
I decided I wanted the BEST Detector that I could Possibly afford...('cause I was having so
much fun...) So...I bought a Eagle Spectrum in 1992. It was great... A metal Detector that not only realiably told me what was IN the ground, it would even tell me the DEPTH of the
object. (accurate to .5 inch!!) Truly the "Cadillac of Detectors." I continued my "Fishing" trips.....with interspersed success.

Then...I moved to Danville, Ky. I soon found out that Danville is very close to being the oldest City in Kentucky. Cool. Fishing should be good.

After about 2 years, I found that fishing COULD be good...as long as you could get permission
to hunt on the old properties located thru-out the region. That is where CoinDigger Came in. He told me that he would like to go GroundFishing with me sometime. So, the first thing we did is out-fit him with the Latest and Greatest "Rod"....
A Whites? nope.... A Sovereign XS. The one I had REALLY wanted when I bought the Whites Spectrum. I just couldn't afford the new technology at the time. He could. I soon found myself with One as well....A excellent Machine.
