4-Season Expedition4-Season Tents
intended for extended use in severe cold and winter storm conditions, our 4-Season Expedition Tents withstand heavy snow loading and high winds and have been the tents of choice in Himalayan climbing and polar exploration for nearly three decades.

High Altitude Single WallHigh Altitude Single Wall Tents
Designed for high altitude climbing and alpine summit attempts, our Single Wall Tents are lightweight, waterproof, and breathable. Each tent is a completely integral structure that eliminates the need for a flysheet and is fast-pitching and extraordinarily stable.

3-Season Plus3-Season Plus Tents
3-Season Plus Tents are lightweight shelters designed for backpacking and occasional snow encounters. They have pole sleeve designs with superior wind stability—and offer an ideal combination of weather protection and roominess.

3-Season3-Season Tents
Our Quick Pitch and Ventilation Tents are intended for 3-season backpacking. Designed for protection in serious rain and windstorms, the Ventilation and Quick Pitch Tents set up rapidly and are extremely roomy shelters for their weight.

In severe weather your tent is more than just a portable shelter. It's a survival tool you rely on to be strong, lightweight and functional even when snowstorms and merciless winds are lashing at its walls. Rigorously thought out, tested and constructed to the most demanding standards in the industry, North Face tents have been the preferred tents of the world's top climbers and polar explorers for nearly three decades. We combine advanced materials with aerodynamic designs to create tents that pitch as tight as a drum and are extraordinarily stable, lightweight, and storm-proof.

Our leadership in the structural physics of tent design began in the 1970s when we worked with architect Buckminster Fuller to develop the first geodesic dome tent. Fuller's design principles, which aim to create the strongest structure for a given weight, continue to inspire the tents we design today. One of the many technical details that sets our tents apart is their computer-aided catenary cut--a patterning method of opposing curves that distributes stress evenly along a seam when two pieces of fabric are joined at a specified angle. It is our superior catenary cut that gives The North Face tents their incredibly taut pitch.
