Our first camping trip of the year 2000 we went to Anchor Point, Alaska June 10th. Usually we go on Memorial Day weekend, but was not able to do that this year. Our camping/fishing trips are always a family affair and we enjoy sitting around the campfire, with good eating and lots of laughter, in addition to the fishing trips.

My granddaughter, Amanda and my daughter, Debbie, bask in the sunshine.
Our next camping/fishing trip June 24th,-25th.
Standing high on a hill above Homer, Alaska overlooking the Inlet, standing in the rain.
Back at Anchor Point June 24, waiting for Steve & Bill to get back in from fishing.
Back at camp we get to see the catch of the day for Steve.
We made out last family camping trip July 8th & 9th, back to Anchor Point. Shelby the Lab enjoys a nap in the grass. Ralph & Josh are needing one too.

My husband, Bill & son-in-law, Steve, with their catch. Each halibut weighed between 40 - 45 lbs. Not a bad day!!

After breakfast we broke camp & headed back to Anchorage.
This is the intersections of the Sterling & Seward Hwys - looking toward Seward.

It is not always easy to find three spaces together for our family, but we have been lucky this year.
We arrive and get our "camp" set up and some go fishing & some stay at camp. We all do our own thing, and enjoy being together.
Amanda & Josh play at the picnic table, while Debbie & Ralph check out his new laptop.

The next morning Debbie is cookin breakfast in their camper.

Sitting around the campfire waiting for breakfast is Ralph, Bill & Steve.

Josh & Amanda find it hard to wake up - just like grandma!

BEAKFAST IS SERVED; Debbie & Amanda on the left, Ralph, Michelle & Josh on the right. Bill & Steve in the background.

No big fish were caught on this fishing trip, but we had a rather warm weekend and enjoyed being around the campfire.
