Scouts is a Section of the Scouting Movement for 10.5 - 15 year olds.
When you become a Scout you're accepting a challenge to plunge into action. You could find yourself exploring a mountain wilderness, helping in emergency rescues, operating a radio station, photographing wild animals, sending coded messages, searching for gold, canoeing down a river, camping out bush, recording your own songs or sailing across the ocean with the salt spray in your face. Scouting gives you the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of exciting activities. It also gives you the greatest opportunity of all - the opportunity to develop real friendships by sharing the experiences of learning, growing and exploring the world with others. |
Scouts aren't told what to do by adults. Your Scout Leaders are there to help you and give you direction but you are involved in planning your activities and making decisions with the other members of your Scout Troop.
Scouts wear a special uniform to show that they belong to the Movement. Scouts are also able to earn special badges to put on their uniform to show their achievements.
For more information about Scouts, you can go to our resources page -

Who are We?
The Scout Leader (ASL) is John Rosser (Curlew)
At the moment we have 6 Scouts in our Troop.
What's happening?
Our Troop meets regularly on Thursday nights from 7pm until 9pm at our Scout Hall in Rawlings Park, Angel St, Wagga Wagga.
Our activities are both fun-packed and educational, providing the Scouts with skills not necessarily learned at School.
Please have a look at our activity program to see what we have planned for the next few months.
We have also added some photographs of our latest Scout activities to the
Group's Photo Album, which are well worth a peek!
Both Patrols have been very busy over the last month. You can find out what they've been up to if you read this month's Patrol Reports.
The Award Scheme
In the last few months we have had several Scouts earning Challenge Badges and also a Pioneer Award.
"B-R-A-V-O-O-O, BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVO! "

Troop Council
The Troop Council is the governing body within each Scout Troop. It consists of the Scout Leader, Assistant Scout Leaders, Patrol Leaders and (if necessary) Assistant Patrol Leaders.
It is here that much of the programming and activity planning occurs, as well as deciding on suitable projects for Patrol Activities, Den maintenance and the general running of the Troop.
The current sitting members of our Troop Council are:
