The axe was used throughout all periods from paleo to historic by most tribes. This is an example of a flint axe which is hafted. They were referred to as war clubs by many people, probably those who would have liked to use them on their mother-in-law...

This picture shows some small drills and gravers. These was used for many functions, as drills, awls, gravers, and for giving tattoos, etc....wow..that would hurt!!!..

Below are some hafted scrapers, used for working hides, and as knives. Some people call these blunts, or stunners. Like all the other tools, they probably had countless uses. Looking at them, they was most like made from a point that the tip had broken on, they didnt waste much. The pink one on the left is a beauty, very thin and fine flaked for this type of find.
