Barth Pond Directions

Directions supplied are from selected points North, South, East or West of the venue.

• North(Palatine Area)

1. Start out by going South on IL-53
2. Continue on IL-53(South) which will merge into I-290
3. Get onto I-290(East)
4. Continue East on I-290 to exit #7 (I-355)
5. Merge onto I-355(South) towards Joliet
6. Continue on I-355(South) to the IL-56(Butterfield Road)/I-88(E-W tollway) [milepost 22.5]
7. You want to get on IL-56/Butterfield Road(East)
   • - To get onto Butterfield
     • - Keep to the right at the first fork in the ramp
     • - Then keep to the left at the fork
8. Turn Left onto Butterfield. At this point you should be going East
9. Continue on for about a mile and take the Highland Ave(South) ramp
10. Stay to the right to get onto Highland Ave(South)
11. Continue South on Highland Ave, which will become Main Street
12. Turn left onto 55^th street(East)
13. Look for Barth Pond(Patriots Park) on you right. If you reach Fairview, you have gone too far East
    • - Barth Pond has two parking lots
      • - The West parking lot has the playground
      • - The East parking lot has the feeder creek
    • - Total distance is about 25 miles

• South(Lockport area)

1. Start out by going North on Lemont Road
   • - Note that Lemont Road will also be named:
     • - State Street
     • - Stephen Street
     • - Main Street
2. Continue North on Lemont Road which will become Main Street in the Downers Grove area
3. Turn right onto 55^thstreet(East)
4. Look for Barth Pond(Patriots Park) on you right. If you reach Fairview, you have gone too far East
   • - Barth Pond has two parking lots
     • - The West parking lot has the playground
     • - The East parking lot has the feeder creek
   • - Total distance is about 15 miles

• East(Chicago area)

1. Get onto the Stevenson Expressway/I-55(South)
2. Continue on the Stevenson/I-55(South) to the IL-83/Kingery Road exit(exit #274)
3. Take the IL-83/Kingery Road exit(North)
4. Continue North on IL-83/Kingery Road until you reach the 55^th street interchange
5. Take a left on to 55^th street(West).
6. About two miles down 55^th, just past Fairview, you should see Barth Pond(on your left). If you reach Main Street, you have gone too far West.
   • - Barth Pond has two parking lots
     • - The West parking lot has the playground
     • - The East parking lot has the feeder creek
   • - Total distance is about 27 miles

• West(North Aurora area)

1. Start out by going East on IL-88/East-West Toll Road
2. Continue going East on IL-88 for about 14 miles to the IL-355(North - South Toll Road) exit [Milepost 133]
3. Take the IL-355 South exit (towards Joliet)
4. Continue South on IL-355 to the Maple Avenue(East) exit [Milepost 18]
   • - Note - there is a 30 cent toll at this exit
5. Continue East on Maple Ave and look for the Maple Ave/55^th St breakoff(around Dunham)
6. Get onto 55^th Street, which will be a slight right breakoff.
7. Look for Barth Pond(Patriots Park) on you right. If you reach Fairview, you have gone too far East
   • - Barth Pond has two parking lots
     • - The West parking lot has the playground
     • - The East parking lot has the feeder creek
   • - Total distance is about 20 miles
