Episode 6 Bad Moon Rising
Walking from his kitchen, pausing only to get a handtowel, Ame went to where Luc was standing. Ready to start shouting at the unexpected guest, he stopped when he saw three wolf-people standing at the door. They were a a wolf man, dressed in a muscle t-shirt and tight fitting jeans that showed off just how buffed he was, he carried a sports holdall and a suitcase [Saphire]. a younger wolf man, wearing baggy worn jeans, and a black hooded 'Limp Bizkit' sweatshirt stood next to him [Topaz]. In one hand he had a skateboard, in the other a cap, and he had a large rucksack on his back. The last was a very young wolf-girl, with extremly long hair, she wore a pink dress, and carried a small backpack [Ruby]. She shouted as soon as she saw Ame,

"Amethyst! Happy Birthday!" [ok, in reality, Sapphire would be hiting Topaz, and Ruby would be crying for mother, families, go figure.]

"Ruby?" Ame was shocked, but picked her up and hugged her. Turning to Luc he said, "Will yo take her into the kitchen, and get her a cake, please?"

"Erm.. sure. C'mon, I'll find you one of the best ones."

With Ruby gone, Ame pushed the others into the hallway, and began shouting.

"That was a cheap trick!"

"We knew you wouldn't want to see us, but you've always loved our sis'" said the older.

"You gonna invite us in?" from the other.

"Fine, hospitality is offerd." Ame opened the door again, to see Ruby talking to Luc, he caught her saying,

"So are you Amethyst's boyfriend now?" and had to smile. Walking over to them, he stood behind Luc and said,

"Allow me to introduce my half-sister, Ruby, and my brothers Sapphire, and Topaz. This is Luc, yes Ruby, my boyfriend, and the guy over there is Loki."

"So why you guys here, you missed his birthday, and it's a bit far to travel just for that." Loki asked.

"We came here because of family honour, which Amethyst has cast aside," Sapphire answered. Facing down his brother, Ame said,

"Stop there, family buisness should stay in the family." For this, he recieved a backhand that knocked him to the floor. Wiping a trace of blood from his mouth, ame said,calmly, "Ruby, Topaz, go with Luc. Tails, Miles, is on the roof with some of my friends, go have some fun, I want to talk to Sapphire."

"I'm not leavng you with him." Luc protested.

"Loki is here, go, now!" Doing as he was told, Luc left with Topaz and Ruby. Standing, Ame pinned Sapphire to a wall with a gesture. "You may be strong, but remember, I've had years to gain power, lift a hand against me. Or Luc, and I will crush you." Unable to breathe, Sapphire gurgled a response, then was allowed to fall. Loki stood back and watched this in shock. He had never seen his friend purposely hurt someone before, only defend himself. "I know why you're here, and you can stay for one week. Now, lets leave this between us, and go up to the party."


Horatio had hardly moved since Fenrir had left. He had wanted to be comforted, true, but he had given no instruction to do so. Had his power grown so that now he didn't even have to give commands. He would have to find out through careful experimenation. Forgetting this for now, he returned to earlier thoughts.

He had seen Loki in a school uniform [loki pointed this out to me, so thanx to my muse.], this was something he could follow up. The major if of it was standard, but the tie would be the real give away. It didn't take much research before he found what he was lookimg for. All he needed now was to find Loki at that school. Easy considering the Kintobor Security Service. A few gaurds waiting in plain clothes outside at certain times. A catboy would be easy to spot, as they were quite rare, and Loki's colouring was another bonus.

A thought struck Horatio. He was looking for two people, one he couldn't control, but knew lts about, the other he knew nothing about, except that she was almost always in his dreams, and she felt very important. And of course, thee was the wolf-guy [see, even Horatio thinks of Ame as a guy! lolh] and his mysterious Chaos readings. He'd probably turn up at the school too.

Realising for the first time that he had lost his scanner, he cursed out loud. It should still be at the Ruins, and the readings should still be usable, even if the scanner wasn't. Calling to the helipad, he told his pilot to be ready for immedate take-off.


Luc had arrived on the roof with the two wolf-people, and wanted to go back down again. He looked for Tails, but Tikal got to him before he saw the fox-boy. "Where are Loki and Ame, and who are these two?"

"Downstairs, and these are Topaz and Ruby, some of Ame's family." Luc saw that the elevator had been called. "Damn!"

"Is there something wrong?" Tikal had picked up on his urgency [she must be empathic].

"Sapphire, another brother, hit Ame, thats when he told me to leave."

Luc hit the call button, "I want to make sure he's okay."

"Ruby? Topaz? Wow, hi guys." Tails had sen Luc's arrival, and had walked over. "What're you doing here?"

"Came see Amethyst." Topaz answered.

"I'll intrduce you around," Tails lead them both off.

"Right, I'm coming with you." Tikal said as Luc hit the button again.

"Thanks," Luc turned as the doors opened, to see Ame, Loki and Sapphire standing there. H threw his arms around Ame and said, "You okay? Did he hurt you?"

"It's sorted now." he kissed Luc and said, "Now I gotta talk to Amy."

Leaving Luc to give Sapphire evil glares, Ame walked to Amy. Tails had been doing as he said, and while Topaz listened to Mina rambling on about stones, Sonic had seen what he carried. Interrupting Mina, he asked Topaz,

"Dude, you skate, huh?"

"Yup, it's not just a decoration. Why?"

"I surf!"

"Kewl, you ever treied skating?" he handed Sonic his board.

"Can't be that hard, right?"

"I'm Paz," Topaz tried a shorter name.

"Sonic." he tried the board, and fell off. Taking it back, Paz started showing off some of his moves, to the applauds of the remaining cheerleaders [easy to impress, huh?], until Ame called him over. Leaving Ruby in Amy's care [she loved Ruby's long hair] he told his brothers,

"It's sorted, you both have rooms for the week. No smoking, anything! No ladies after eight, and do what I say, ok?"

"Do we have a choice?" Paz asked.

"Yes, you can sleep rough on the street." Ame walked over to Tails and said, "Sorry, but you'll have to stay at Amy's for the week, family stuff."

"Sure, if it'll help." he knew Ame didn't like Sapphire, and that Paz had problems with Ame.

"It might." he answered, bt he doubted it.


Robotnik had been fuming for the past 24 hours, and everyone had known to keep out of his way. Finally calmer, he went down to his research department, and handed out some files.

"These contain information about our new allies. It's mostly basics, little is known about each, but here is most of it.

"Metalix is an ancient weapon built buy the Echidna, for unknown reasons. It was too powerful to control, ans was shut down, and the seale on the moon. I have no idea how he came to be re-activated and back on Earth. He attacks with short range, high power electricity.

"Super Sonic is a daemon, I believe. he registers as having some Chaos energy. He must have been summoned, but by who, and for waht purpose, again, I don't know. What is known is that they must have used one of the Emeralds to do so. He is hyper-active [undersatement of the year award nomination], and attacks by charging, and with heat.

"Shadow is an anthropomorph of the hedgehog spieces. Though he poses least threat, he is very devious. He also charges, and uses a controlling attack.

"Know your enemy, a major rule of battle. And remember, they were beaten when we found them [see ep 2], so can be again."

At this point one of the computer operators turned from his screen and said,

"Sir, Horatio is going out in his helicopter again."

"Let him, the fool. If he only knew his part in my plans. I sometimes think he's not worth all the effort, but my patience will be rewarded."


With the party finally over, Rouge, Knuckles and Sonic headed home, Klonoa was staying with D and Mina, all of these were in 310, and the ret of the guys were at Ame's. Amy had asked,

"So why don't you guys and come see Ame more?"

"They didn't know where I lived." Ame said, he was sitting on Luc's lap even though there was plenty of spare room [not important, but needing to be said].

"We got his address from one of Nans letters. She was the only one he kept in contact with." Sapphire was glaring at Ame. Having missed the undertones, Amy continued.

"So why are you here now?"

"To wish him Happy Birthday." Ruby said cheerfully

"And to sort out his inheritance." Sapphire again [why can't I shorten that name?]. Tikal had seen that Loki was distracted throughout the remaining conversation, and wondered what had gone on earlier, but didn't ask, she could find out later. The time passed with award silences, and prattle from Amy, until Ame said,

"I think it's time for Ruby to go to bed, and we have matters to discuss in private, so if you'll excuse us.."

"Sure," Amy said standing, "Nice meeting you, see you tomorrow at brekfast." Ame saw them all to the door, Luc was last out, and kissed Ame before saying,

"Shall I stay tonight?"

"Best if you don't while they're here, we do have lots to talk about." Kissing him, as if this would be the last time, Ame said goodnight, then shut the door. Luc shook his head, and said quietly,

"You will always have me, even if you don't need me." before starting his journey home.


In Amy's apartment, Tails was in the bathroom, Amy was in her own room, which gave Loki and Tikal time to talk.

"Whats wrong?" Tikal asked the cat-boy, "Did something happen?" Whispering his response, Loki said,

"It was Ame, he... he... I'm not sure, he wasn't himself." his confusion was evident. They had no more time to continue as Tails walked in and asked,

"So where do I sleep?" Pointing to the couches, Loki said,

"Take your pick, but I usually use that one." jumping on the other, Tails said,

"This one it is then!" Loki turned to Tikal and mouthed 'see you later?' She nodded smiling


Horatio had been searching for 20 minutes with no luck. Wishing he had bought some assistance, he double checked his location. This was where he landed, that was where he stood when he saw Loki, so that means his scanner should be here. It wasn't. Cursing, he kicked a stone, and heard it clatter down the side of te cliff face. it wouldn't bounce, couldn't roll, so that mean it had to have been moved.

Lookin around for nests proved fruitless, whic left the scrap pile. Sighing, he wonderd if the Chaos Emeralds were worth all the trouble. Maybe not, but Loki was, and the wolf-guy seemed to have known him, but how well? Reaching the pile, he couldn't believe his luck when he saw the datapack to his scaner on top.

Grabbing it, he headed back to his chopper. All he needed now was a new scanner, and that wouldn't be hard to make.


Amethyst had put Ruby to bed, made some drinks, coffee dfor his guests, something stronger for himself [archers and orange and more archers], before he sat down with his brothers.

"So where is it?" he asked bluntly.

"Do you know the dishonour you have bought on yourself?" Sapphire was harsh.

"Quiet bro, you wanna wake Rubes?" Paz tried to hush him.

"Yet another example, you cut your name, and now both of your younger sibling have. 'Paz', 'Rubes'. Why are you doing this?"

"Am I to get the Moon stone or not?" Ame wa angry now. "You know I have to have it before the next full moon, tomorrow." Reaching into a bag,

Sapphire pulled out a large briefcase. he opened it and placed a large grey stone on the table.

"Do you have The Moon's Soul?" Ame produced the cystal he use for divining.

"Of course. Every full and new moon, we have stood in the night."

"Is all this stuff really needed?" Paz asked, bored.

"Yes!" they both answered. Taking the stone in his left hand, and the crystal in his right, Ame recited,

"Return the heart to it's true place,

And shatter the stone shell.

Recover strenght fallen from Grace,

And break the Gods last spell."

Sapphire nodded in approval, as Ame set aside both of the items. Sighing and bowing his head slightly, Ame said,

"How is everyone?" With the serious buisness taken care of, Ame could finally relax a little. After a long night of talking, repairing relationships, and catching up, finally they all went to bed.


Tails was having a hard time sleeping. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, as Ame would fix him something 'to knock him out' as he put it. he didn't want to get up for fear of waking Loki, so he shut his eyes, lay still and blanked his mind [this works for me, you see]. After a few minutes of this, he heard a noise. Lookin discretely, he saw that Loki had gotten up, and was crossing the room.

Must be going to the bathroom, Tails thought. he was about to roll over again, when he saw that Loki had passed the door, and was heading for Tikal's room. Without pausing, Loki went in. Tails tried to hear what was going on, but he only caught muffled voices. For all the time he had known both of them, they had almost always been together. No-one had said they were dating though, so either it was old news, or they didn't want people to know.

He'd have to ask Ame, but if they weren't comon knowledge..... Tails knew that anything toldt Ame was like having it broadcast on T.V. but cheaper. Ask Loki then, but how? Tired now, Tails decided to think about it in the morning.


Tikal and Loki kissed, then snuggled into each other.

"You sure Tails was asleep?" Tikal asked.

"He wasn't moving, so yes." Well, Loki was pretty sure. They slept in each others arms, with Tikals alarm set early, so Loki could get back out before Tails got up.


The next day, going for breakfast at Ame's, Tails decided to talk to Ame about what he saw last night, but hypothetically. That way, he woldn't know anymore than he had to.

Loki and Tikal had the day to talk, but Loki coldn't put his finger on what had seemed so wrong with Ame.

Getting back to Chao Tower [i really love that name], Tails went straight to Ame's. he made sure the place was empty by asking,

"Where is everyone?"

"Downstairs in Luc's cab. We're off to Station Garden for the half pipe thingie. I just came to get these." Ame was wearing tight purple cycle shorts, and a purple t-shirt with a white front panel showing a white wolf-guy wearing purple cycle shorts and a purple t-shirt with a whie front panel showing a white wolf-guy wearing [etc. etc.]. He held up a personal C.D. player, and Steps Gold C.D.

"Can I ask you something?

"Sure, you may not get an answer though." a typical Ame response [and one of mine too].

"If two of your friends were going out, but te wanted to keep it a secret, what would you sy?"

"Depends on which friends, how long they'd knwn each other, and would they tell me eventually. Personally, I think it's great that Klonoa said something to you, and much faster than I thought he would. Well, gotta go, bai." Ame put on his headphones and walked off singing 'Tragedy' [badly]. Tails wouldn't have been able to stop him, even if he wanted too. Eventually he said to himself,

"Klonoa and me? Huh?"

After a few hours of Paz showing off to the skater girls, Ruby being overly cute on the swings, being pushed by Sapphire, who was attracting lots of ladies, and Ame sitting in the shade of a tree 'listening to music', it began to cloud over, and go dark. Having got enough phone numbers, and a date for that night, Sapphire decided he'd had enough.

"Ain't it time to eat yet?" Paz skated over and agreed,

"Food, Food" he said, zombie style.

"Fine, we'll pick up a chinese on the way home, Ame suggested. "Just give us another 5, we wanna finish the C.D."

"We'll get Rubes." Paz skated off, followed by Sapphire.

"Where were we?" Ame asked jokingly.

"Track 2, then we found something better to do [each other maybe?]," Luc said, then kissed Ame. Laughing, they both stood and went over to Ruby.

Getting home, after eating out, Ruby went staight to bed, Sapphire went out on his date, so Paz and Ame were left talking.

"You still got those freaky powers?" Paz asked.

"Don't, you know I don't like to use them infront of you or Ruby."

"Please, they only scared me when I was little, and only a bit then."

"Course, but it's past moonrise, I'll be right back." Ame went to his room, picked up the moonstone and his crystal, and exited through the window onto his balcony. Setting both on the rail, he sat between them and closed his eyes. Ame stayed like this until just before midnight, when Sapphire returned. Taking his items inside, he made sure that his brother had come back alone, and sober, he was alone at least. Going back to his room, Ame sat on his bed.

Lifting the crystal, he began it swinging ove the stone. Both began to glow faintly.

"Er... guys, you may want to see this." he called to his brothers. Bo h came in and saw, but Ame was already taking both into the monlight, and repeating his actions. The light got brighter. "What could this mean?"

"What was that rhyme?" Paz asked.

"Return the heart to it's true place,

And shatter the stone shell.

Recover stregth fallen from grace,

And break the God's last spell."
saying this caused the crystal the enter the stone, merging them. The grey shell broke from the stone, revealing a purple cyrstal. From it, a beam of energ hit Ame, charging him. His fur went from white to silver, his clothing, he had changed into a shirt and jeans, ripped slightly, with the power."I am impowered, I am Silver Amethyst!" he cried as the beam subsided. Lifting himself, the stone floating with him at chest height, Silver Amethyst began to laugh.


Horatio had finished his replacement scanner, he inputed the data and it came uo with a masive burst close by.

"What? This should be good." calling his pilot again, "I need my chopper, now!"


Metalix's sensors peaked.

"Chaos Energy deteced, Super Soinc, Shadow, follow me." The S.L.A. left the Kintobor building unchallenged.


Tikal awoke suddenly, screaming. She threw on her robe, and ran into the main room. Shaking Loki, she said,

"Somethings wrong, Ame, it's coming from accross the hall!"

"Wake Tails and Amy, just in case." Loki ran opt of the apartment in his pj bottoms, ans saw Paz, looking stunned.

"Where's Ame?"

"He said he had to get to the Master Emerald, he wanted to change the world. You have to stop him! And Sapphire, he's hurt."

"Tikal, call the guys, get Luc to collect them. Amy, Tails, lets see what's going on." both of them, still dressed in pjamas joined Lokiin the hall, Amy carried her mallet. Tikal called the res of the group and Luc, so that they'd be ready for anything.


Luc had picked up almost everyone, and was trying to get some answers. heading for the beach to get Sonic, he saw something he could barely beleive. Ame was floating, and being attacked.

"What the fuck is going on?!"

"We'll fill you in later, stay in the car!" Knux said as they all got out. Running over to Loki, Tails and Amy, the guys wanted filling in too.

"No idea, he ignores us, those guys just turned up and started fighting." Loki gave all the facts he had.


"Fire, fire burn you, Feel The Heat!" trees burst into flames as Super Sonic charged past them. The extreme heat hit the sheild seconds before Super Sonic, but both wre deflected.

"10,000 volts attack!" Metalix tried his highest charge, with the same results.

"Chaos Control!" Shadows dark bolt hit, and all this did was anger Silver Amethyst. lifting the black hedgehog, by wil alone, he said,

"You pretend power you have no right to. This is the power of Chaos, your spirit will be the penalty. Begone to the Dark World, FOREVER!!!" With this, Shadows body shook violently, then fell to the ground, looking empty.

"Ohmygod, he killed Shadow [very 'south park', i know]." Super Sonic blurted out.

"No big loss, but his power is to strong, withdrawl is advised." They backed off, leaving Silver Amethyst's path clear.

"We gotta stop him." Sonic said.

"How? He killed that guy without breaking his stride." from Rouge.

"But we're his friends, maybe we can use that. Convince him to give up the stone?" Tails suggested.

"So we go for the Flint plan?" Loki said.

"Huh?" all in unison replied.

"Forget it." Loki sighed.

"Ame! It's your friends!" Amy began.

"Calm down Ame!" Klonoa.

"Just put the stone away!" Sonic went for broke.

"Friends," Silver Ame sighed. "I don't need yo now, I have Koukan, and power! Spirit Beam!" With the last, a purple ray fired from his hand, weaving between the guys, causing them to scatter.

"Well that didn't work!" Rouge shouted.

"The Moon!" shouted paz, he had managed to catch up. "Keep him bust till it sets, then knock him out!"

"How?" Sonic called back.

"Like this, THREE! [close luv]" Amy used her mallet in a golf swing, hitting an empty plant pot at Silver Amethyst. It broke on his shield, but he stopped to fire another beam at Amy, missing her narrowly.

Since this was their only course of action, they threw everything they could get their hands on. Each time, whatever they threw was stopped, and Silver Amethyst took another shot at them. This slowed him, but came nowhere close to stopping him.

Finally he said,

"I grow weary of this. Cease now, or I will be forced to destroy you all!" While he was distracted, Knuckles had gained some height, and tried a swooping attack. Catching him in mid-air, Silver Amethyst said, "Do you doubt my power little Knight? Then feel it! Begone to the Dark World FOREVER!" Knuckles began to shake, as Shadow had before him, until suddenly, Luc screamed at the empowered wolf-guy,

"Ame please, stop this! You cae about these people, and about me. Please, if not for them, for yourself." Dropping a still living Knuckles he turned on Luc, but he had run out of time, as the sun slowly began to rise. Frozen for a second, Silver Amethyst began to descend.

"Sunrise? No matter, I still have enogh power to...."

"Hey, Ame, sorry" as the wolf-guy turned, Loki's foot hit the side of his head, in a calculated blow that knockd him out cold, and sent the stone flying. Luc ran to his boyfriends side, and cradled his head.

"Did you have to do that? Will he be ok?"

"Lets get out of here, take him to your cab,and get us home." Paz picked up the stone as he said this. Carrying Ame by himself, Luc got him to the cab, and drove back giving a ride to Amy, Loki, Paz and Tails. The rest of the guys went to Sonic's shack to call for an ambulance for Shadow. None of the saw the Helicopter that had landed close, and none saw it take off again. Horatio had seen the power of one of the Emeralds, and knew he wanted it, and it's owner.


Reaching Chao Tower, and getting to the thir floor, the guys were greeted by Mina.

"What happened to him?" Tikal had got D and Mina to help look after the injured Sapphire. Seeing another casualty, ahe opened Ame's door for them. Sapphire was almost recoverd, so Ame was lay on the couch. He was just sleping now,pure exhaustion. Seeing what Paz carried for the first time, both D and Mina gasped.

"Whats wrong?" Tikal asked them.

"I think that is one of the Chaos Emeralds!" D said pointing to the gem.
