all grown up : chapter 20

Crusher looked towards Arachnee only to find her watching him with her eyelids halfclosed and a sly sexy smile on her face. They were lovers, something Crusher could not have imagined possible a few months back. He had a debt towards his best friend, although Trunks wouldn't have it. He just insisted on the fact of NEVER having to hear about it again. And so couples formed slowly in the group, no one was left lonely, Tibault himself had found his soulmate in the person of Maron, to Krillin's great demise and C18's enchantment. He would have to accept it. But they were all thinking ahead, and if couples would stick, would frinedship be as strong as the end of their studies grew near and they would each follow a different path? One evening they had all gone out although this was one of these girls only, guys only outings, leaving the couples seperated, even Rowland had come along , avoiding Trunks at all times.
-So, do we all agree?
-I would gladly but I really have to save up some cash, I'm broke.
-Oh come on, dig, technically this should only happen once in your life Crush.
-I guess , I do have savings, and it's really worth it , but how do we know they'll say yes?
-Don't you have any faith in Arachnee's love for you?
-Her love yes, her temper no!
-Kami really you guys are a hell of a couple. She's small enough that you could crush her but she's in charge.
-Give me a break, I don' t actually mind her being in charge.

Prom night, the night every student in his last year eagerly awaited, eagerly and anxiously too though, would their date be satisfied, would they be left in a corner or brought home for a long night? These were not the questions our couples were asking themselves though, no, these couples would stick but what about after tonight, somehow the friends had their minds elsewhere.
Boys and girls dancing along and then the prizes, everyone agreed that the king and queen could only be Trunks and Lalania. The end was drawing near and so the friends went outside and divided into couples, each one taking his girl to his own little secluded place, and if you could have seen all the places at the same time, you would have seen four guys , getting down on one knee, holding out a small box, with only one question on their lips:
-Will you marry me?
The damzels were aghast but you could see them trembling, suppressing the tears threatening to fall form their shining eyes as they each responded the best way they could : finally giving into the tears and embrace, jumping in the loved ones arms and engaging into a langurous kiss, giving a very big yes and a look full of love and confidence or screaming to the stars as they witness the joy of this night.
That is what they had all hoped for as the four boys silently congratulated one another. The night would indeed be long thought Trunks.
