![]() Finally married, 8/4/01 My bride Nicole and I were married at St. Bernard's Church in Keene, August 4, 2001. It was a very memorable ceremony, with family, co-workers and loved friends in attendance to witness this very special day in our lives. If it wasn't for the sudden down-pour of rain immediately following the ceremony, the day would have been perfect. However, the rain certainly made it even more memorable, so I'm not complaining.
Who is this 'youngvogl'?
You could say my life revolves around three things: Scouting, newspapers and Nicole.
I am a born and raised Eagle Scout Vermonter, and currently work for the
Green Mountain
Council, BSA. May 1999 found me graduating from Keene State College
with a degree in journalism, where I was the editor of
The Equinox, the student newspaper. After graduating from
college, I worked for a brief period at the
Sentinel & Enterprise, a daily local newspaper in Fitchburg, Mass. The past seven
summers of my life have been filled working as a counselor at
Mount Norris Scout Reservation.
To call any of these anything less than an obsession would be lying.
I do have other interests. I probably maintain the most complete collection of
nautical literature in Vermont and I enjoy listening to and singing
sea shanties and folk songs, playing the guitar, and hiking and camping outdoors.
I've included links to the right that you may find useful
if your interests fall parallel to mine. If you're a newspaper editor seeking an
employee, I'm your guy. My resume is right here in .pdf format.
To everyone, have a great day.
