Chapter 1 - Valentines Day
Christi Bass, was a 4th year Gryffindor
at Hogwarts. She was quite good at Potions, but was treated well in her Transfigurations
class.
It was February 14th. Valentines Day! It wasn't her most favorite holiday, but
today it was. She had a crush on Draco Malfoy, a 4th year Slytherin.
She went into the Great Hall that morning to find it decorated with pink, red,
and white streamers and hearts. There was love in the atmosphere.
She walked to the Gryffindor Table and took a seat beside Harry and Hermione.
"Hey Christi, look what Neville got!" Christi looked over where Neville was
sitting and saw a box of chocolate frogs and a card.
"Who is it from, Neville?" Christi asked, looking surprised.
"I'm not sure, it doesn't have a name or anything." Neville said, confused.
"Neville, you have a secret admirer!" Hermione squealed, making Neville blush.
Christi looked over her shoulder at the Slytherin Table, seeing Malfoy had got
nothing. Christi frowned and turned back around to talk to her friends.
The bell rang to go to class. Christi got up and went to the dungeons with Hermione,
Ron, and Harry.
She got away from her friends long enough to take out two Valentine Cards. She
took out her wand.
"Asamor" Christi whispered.
The two cards disappeared. She walked back over to her friends and started talking
but stopped when the Slytherins' appeared. Malfoy didn't have time to insult
Harry because right after the Slytherins' came, Professor Snape came. He beckoned
them all in class.
Christi and her friends took a seat and started talking.
"Harry! Look! Professor Snape got a Valentines card!" Hermione said excitedly.
Harry, Christi, and Ron looked up at Professor Snape's desk. Everyone was now
watching Professor Snape. Everyone besides Draco Malfoy, who was reading his
own.
Christi was now starting to regret that she signed her name at the bottom as
Professor Snape and Malfoy looked straight at Christi.
"Who is it from?" A Gryffindor asked.
Professor Snape stood up and walked in front of the class and turned his attention
on the Gryffindor that had asked.
"That is none of your business!" Snape spat.
He walked to the board and started to write down the ingredients for the potion
that the class was going to make that day.
Christi turned to look at Malfoy seeing him pocketing the letter. Malfoy turned
to her and they stared at each other, not aware Snape had started speaking.
"Malfoy, Bass! Pay attention!" Snape growled.
Christi tore her eyes off him and looked at Snape.
"Sorry sir." Christi whispered.
Christi stared at Professor Snape not really listening. After he told them that
they may begin, Christi started pulling ingredients from her bag.
She was just mooshing some beetles, when a cold voice spoke behind her
"Meet me after class, Bass." His cold voice hit her like thousands of painful
knives. Not able to say anything, she nodded and attended smashing her beetles.
Snape stared at her for a while and then he turned and went to Neville to torture
him.
Christi thought what Professor Snape could possibly want. But knew more then
ever what this was going to be about.
After the bell rang, Christi packed up her stuff and told her friends that she
would meet them out in the hallway.
Christi walked up to Snape's desk, her bag shrug over her solider.
"You needed to see me sir?" Christi said, staring at the card on the desk.
"Yes, I did" Snape said, looking up. He opened a draw and pulled something out.
Christi saw it was a box. Snape opened the box and showed it to her.
"What is it?" Christi asked, staring at the figure that came out of the box.
He then pulled out another smaller box and opened it. It looked like a thin,
gray square. He turned the other object over. There was a thin line that you
could insert things. He popped it in.
"This" Snape began. "Is a muggle toy. It's called a gameboy. But I took it apart
and made it something better. Watch!"
He moved a black switch up and a blank figured appeared in the screen. Snape
took out his wand and put it to the side of his head. He closed his eyes for
a moment and then opened them back up. He then tapped the gameboy two times.
"Ectoco." He muttered.
Something on it appeared. Christi gasped as she saw an image of Professor Snape
and Professor McGonagall being a cute couple.
"You like Professor McGonagall?" Christi said, in astonishment.
"Yes, I do, and you're not going to be telling her or no one else, got it!"
Snape said, giving a stern look at her.
"Ok, I promise I will not say a word." Christi said.
"Good! Now take out your wand!" Snape ordered.
Christi did as she was told to.
"Now put it to the side of your head and think about a happy thought. It doesn't
have to be real. Maybe something or someone you like." Snape blushed lightly
and Christi could only guess it was about him liking Professor McGonagall.
Christi did so and placed the wand lightly to the side of her head. She closed
her eyes and though of a happy memory. She smiled as she removed the wand.
"Now, tap the gameboy two times and say "Ectoco!" you will then see that happy
memory on the gameboy.
Christi's smile faded. The thought of Snape knowing she liked Malfoy sent chills
down her spine.
Without thinking she tapped the gameboy two times and said "Ectoco!"
Snape and Christi looked over at the screen. There stood Malfoy and Christi
kissing. Snape gave a good firm "HA!"
"So you like Malfoy, huh? Well, I advise you to keep your love life and your
school separate.
By this time the image had vanished.
"What do I do with it?" Christi asked, taking the muggle toy.
"Wait until lunch and then turn it on." Snape said. "Now, go to Transfigurations
class."
Christi smiled and ran off.
Ron, Harry and Hermione went off to Transfigurations. She couldn't blame them
either.
Christi ran out of the dungeons and up to the Gryffindor Common Room. By then,
the bell had already rung. She gathered her materials, putting away her potions.
By the time she got in front of Professor McGonagall's door, she was 10 min.
late.
She walked in the classroom.
"Sorry I'm late" Christi walked up to her desk. "Professor Snape held me back."
Professor McGonagall stared at her for a moment.
"It's quit all right, 5 points for Gryffindor." Professor McGonagall said, with
a grin plastered on her face.
"But I was late! Professor McGonagall are you feeling all right?"
Professor McGonagall laughed and nodded her head.
"Ms. Granger asked me a question that was quite private. You came in just on
time."
Christi smiled, but couldn't get to far as she froze in her spot. Professor
Snape had just walked in.
"Minerva, I just wanted to say that Ms. Bass here was with me." Professor Snape
said, stopping beside Christi.
Christi could see her blushing bright red. Christi looked up at Snape.
"I already told her." Christi said.
"Yes, she already told me that. I. . .uh. . .believe her." Professor McGonagall
was now blushing so bright of red, it was too hard to hide.
"Well, then, I'll be going now. Bye!" with that Snape walked out, leaving Professor
McGonagall blushing.
Christi took a seat in-between Harry and Hermione.
"Hey Hermione, what did you ask Professor McGonagall?" Christi asked.
"How did you know that I asked her a question?" Hermione said in astonishment.
"Because she said that I came in right on time. She didn't want to answer that
question. Said it was private."
Hermione giggled. "I asked her if she had a crush. . .on Snape, but I think
my question has just been inserted." Hermione giggled.
Christi laughed and turned her attention up to the front. Professor McGonagall
was talking about animus's. Christi took some notes. She transformed into her
cat-like self and back, getting a great amount of applause. The bell ran and
they were giving homework. They then ran off to lunch.
Chapter 2 - The Connection
Christi, Harry, Ron, and Hermione all
ran to lunch. They sat at the Gryffindor Table.
Christi started piling food onto her plate, when she remembered about Professor
Snape. He had told her to use the gameboy at lunch. She looked up at the High
Table and looked at Professor Snape.
He was already eating and didn't notice her staring at him.
She pulled out the gameboy and turned it on. The blank box wasn't blank no more.
It had two names on it. Severus Snape and Christi Bass. There was a little arrow
beside it, pointing at Severus Snape. She pressed on the A button and it showed
a picture of Snape and herself.
"Hello" a voice said in her head. It was Professor Snape's voice.
Christi looked up at Professor Snape. He was still eating. He then looked down
at her.
"Think what you say." The Snape voice said again.
Christi looked at the screen.
"Professor Snape?" Christi said in her mind.
"Yes Bass, its me." Snape said.
"Why did you give me this?" she asked.
"Because you seemed you needed it. I always saved this for one person. I'm surprised
it's a Gryffindor. These aren't very easy to make. Now what I want you to do
is, I want you to come up to the High Table after you are done eating. Hand
them the gameboy and ask them if they could put their name on the list. You
cannot, however, talk to two or more people. Only one."
"What people?" Christi asked.
The teachers!" Snape said, like this was so obvious.
"Oh, right. . ." Christi said, now feeling rather stupid.
"So, why did you give me that Valentines card?" Snape asked.
"Because, Potions is my best class. You're a great teacher. That's why." Christi
said, taking some pudding and piling it on her plate.
"I see. . .Well, I guess it was nice. I never get any Valentines cards from
students. Snape said, awkwardly.
"Your welcome!" Christi said, smiling. She looked up at him, which he was eating.
After Christi was done with her lunch, she trotted up to the High Table. She
walked up to Professor Snape.
"What do I say to them?" Christi asked.
"You ask them if they would like to put there name in." Snape said.
Christi nodded and went to the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, which
was Professor Moody.
"Professor?" Christi asked.
"Yes?" Moody said.
She took out the gameboy and handed it to him.
"Can you put your name on it please?" Christi asked.
Moody smiled and took the gameboy. He took out his wand.
"Sure." He looked at the screen and smiled, then looked at Professor Snape and
back. He took his wand and put it to the side of his head. He closed his eyes,
shortly opening them. He then tapped the gameboy two times and said "Ectoco!"
No surprise there. Thought Christi, looking at the screen. It was of him fighting
his first dementor. After the image vanished, he handed it back to Christi.
Christi then went to Professor Flitwick and then Professor Trelawny. When she
got to Professor McGonagall, she was surprised that Professor Snape had given
this to her. When her happy though appeared, it showed Professor Snape and Professor
McGonagall together.
"You know, you guys would be a good couple." Christi said.
"Thank you dear, but I'm afraid Professor Snape has no interest in me." Professor
McGonagall said.
"I would think twice about that before deciding." Christi said, giving her a
little wink and heading for Hagrid.
"Hey Hagrid, how are you doing?" Christi asked.
"I'm doin' all right." Hagrid replied.
"That's great! Do you think you could put your name on this for me?" Christi
handed him the gameboy.
"Wow, I haven't seen one of these in along time." Hagrid said.
"Professor Snape gave it to me." Christi said.
Hagrid smiled and put his happy memory in. Which was no surprise when Christi
looked over and saw Hagrid and Madam Maxime.
The last person she went to was Professor Dumbledore. He laughed and said that
he wondered what she was doing up here.
"I don't think you would be talking to the teachers."
Christi smiled at him.
Dumbledore put his wand up to the side of his head, closed his eyes, and opened
them back up.
"Awww, that's sweet." Christi said, when she saw Dumbledore's happy memory.
It showed Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall on Private Drive. Hagrid was beside
them. Harry Potter was in Dumbledore's arms.
Dumbledore handed back the gameboy.
Christi walked back to Professor Snape. She then let her friends put their names
on it. Harry's happy memory was Quidditch, Hermione's was Krum and Ron's was
Malfoy as a bouncing white ferret. After she got all the Weasley's, she looked
over at the Slytherin Table. Malfoy was talking to his friends, Crabbe and Goyle.
Christi bit her bottom lip and though about going over there and having Malfoy
put his name on.
Christi decided to do so. She walked to the Slytherin Table and walked to Malfoy.
She stood behind him for a minute before tapping him on the shoulder. He turned
around and faced her.
"Hello Draco." Christi said, smiling.
"Hello." Malfoy said.
"I was just wondering if you could put your name on this for me." Christi said,
handing him the gameboy.
Malfoy stared at it for a moment before looking at her and saying anything.
"Sure." Malfoy said. He took out his wand and placed it to the side of his head.
He then tapped the gameboy two times and said the magic word. She didn't see
his happy moment because he was blocking her from seeing. He handed it back
to her and smiled before turning back to his friends.
She walked back to the Gryffindor Table and took a seat. She then clicked on
his name in the box.
"Draco?" she said in her mind.
"Yes?" Malfoy said.
"What was your happy thought?" Christi asked.
"Click on the B button." Malfoy said.
Christi did so and saw the most beautiful site. It was Malfoy giving her a red
rose. She looked over at the Slytherin Table and saw Malfoy staring at her.
"Meet me in the Entrance Hall after supper." Malfoy said.
"Ok! I have to go, bye." Christi said. She turned it off and put it in her bag
as she headed for Divination's.
Chapter 3 - The Secret
She went up to the North Tower with Harry,
Ron, and Hermione. They then climbed the silver ladder that led up to the class.
Once Christi got up there, she wanted to go straight back down. The fumes stung
her nose and made her feel sleepy.
They picked a table in the middle of the classroom. When the bell had rang,
the misty voice from Professor Trelawny, reached Christi's ears.
"Hello Children. Today where going to do some crystal gazing." Professor Trelawny
said.
Hermione rolled her eyes. "This is a waste of time."
Christi took a look inside the crystal ball, seeing only white smoke. She stared
in it for a while until Professor Trelawny came over to her.
"Do you see anything?" Professor Trelawny asked.
Christi looked up at her and frowned. "No, I don't."
Professor Trelawny smiled and bent over the crystal ball. She studied the crystal
ball hard and then. . .
"Oh my!" Professor Trelawny gasped.
"What is it?" Christi said, excited.
She looked at her and horror and then said, "Your most wanted wish will come
true tonight." Professor Trelawny said.
She looked quit sad, but turned to go help another kid.
"What is your most wanted wish?" asked Hermione.
Christi thought for a moment.
"Well. . .I don't know." Christi said.
Christi looked into the Crystal ball again, seeing nothing. She sighed heavily.
When the bell rang to go to Herbology, Christi kept pondering what her wish
could be.
They ran off towards the green house. On her way, she bumped right into Draco
Malfoy. Malfoy fell down, while Christi only just lost her balance. She looked
down at him as he looked up at her.
"Watch where you're going, Malfoy!" Harry spat, stepping up beside Christi.
Christi looked over at Harry. Malfoy jumped to his feet, glared at Harry and
then started walking, but stopped beside Christi. He leaned over and whispered
in her ear.
"Remember, meet me in the Entrance Hall after supper." Malfoy said.
Christi nodded and Malfoy walked away leaving her standing there smiling.
"What was that about?" Ron asked, looking where Malfoy had gone.
"Nothing. . .Its nothing!" With that she walked out of the castle and threw
the grounds, towards the green house.
When they reached the green house they met the Hufflepuffs there.
Today they were going to handle Mandrakes. Christi, Ron, Harry, and Hermione
parted up and started Chatting about the Quidditch Match that was coming up
a week from now. After Herbolgy, Christi and her friends went to supper. Christi
had a huge smile on her face.
"What are you so happy about?" Ron asked.
"Nothing, just in a happy mood, that's all." Christi said, putting an innocent
face on.
Ron looked at Harry and shrugged.
When they got to the Great Hall, Harry, Christi, Ron, and Hermione sat down
at the Gryffindor Table.
Christi started eating rather fast, smiling broadly.
Then all of the sudden a beeping noise reached her ears. It was coming from
her bag. She opened up the bag and pulled out the gameboy. It was beeping and
was flashing something on the screen: SEVERUS SNAPE, CLICK A.
Christi did so and Professor Snape's voice filled her mind.
"What are you so happy about?" Professor Snape asked.
"Malfoy, Draco Malfoy. He asked me to meet him." Christi said.
"Where at?" Snape asked.
"Professor Snape!" Christi said in a giggly voice. "You know I can't tell you
that!"
"Why not?" Snape asked.
"Because, if I tell you then you will probably spy, and I can't risk that."
Christi said.
"How do you know I'm going to spy?" Snape said.
"Why would you ask where we are meeting if you didn't want to spy on us?" Christi
said.
"Out of curiosity!" Snape said, like this was so obvious.
"Yes, well, your not a very trusting guy, are you?" Christi said.
"Yes, I am! You just don't know me good enough yet." Snape said.
Christi rolled her eyes. Like she was going to believe that.
"Yes, ok Professor Snape, I believe you." Christi said, sarcastically.
"Malfoy wants to talk to you I believe. He keeps staring at you." Snape said.
Christi looked over at the Slytherin Table, seeing Draco staring at her.
"Ok, bye Professor!" And with that, she turned off the gameboy, only turning
it back on to talk to Malfoy.
"You wanted to talk to me?" Christi asked.
"Yes, how did you know?" Malfoy said.
"Snape figured it out. I was talking to him." Christi said.
"Ok, well, do you think you could shake off Potter and his friends?" Malfoy
asked.
Yea, sure." Christi said.
She then turned to Harry and her friends.
"Harry, meet me up at the Gryffindor Common Room, I'll meet you up there." Christi
said.
Harry looked at her awkwardly.
"Yea, sure. Why?" Harry asked.
"I can't tell you now. Later!"
The bell then rang. She turned her attention to the gameboy.
"I'm out Draco!" Christi said.
"All right, meet me on the left side of the stairs." Malfoy said.
"Ok, bye!" Christi turned off the gameboy and took a drink of her pumpkin juice.
She then left. She made sure Harry, Ron, and Hermione went up the marble stairs
and then waited by the left hand of the stairs, waiting for Malfoy to throw
off his friends.
When he got his friends away, he met her on the left hand side of the stairs.
"Hello!" Malfoy said.
"Hi!" Christi said.
The two stood there, staring at each other. Both not knowing what to say. Christi
finally broke the awkward silence.
"So. . . ummmm. . . What did you want to meet me here for?"
Malfoy smiled. "Follow me."
Malfoy started out the castle with Christi following him. They didn't talk until
they got to the lake and sat down.
"Listing, you're probably going to think I'm nuts, but. . . I like you." Malfoy
said, nervous written all over his face.
"You do?!?!?!" Christi said, shocked to hear those words out of his mouth.
Malfoy was beginning to regret what he said.
"Uh. . .yes." Malfoy said.
"I didn't think you even liked me. Because. . .I like you too." Christi said.
Relief flooded all over Malfoy.
"R-really? Wow!" Malfoy was overwhelmed. Good thing it was getting dark, because
Malfoy was blushing deeply.
So, Christi and Draco talked until they had to go inside.
They went up the marble stairs and headed for the Gryffindor Common Room. Once
they got there, Malfoy turned to face Christi.
"You know we have to keep this a secret. If somebody finds out about us, well,
I don't even want to think about it." Malfoy said
Christ nodded in agreement. They stared at each other for a minute and then
Draco leaned over and kissed her on the cheek.
"Well, bye." Malfoy said
"Bye Draco." Christi said.
Malfoy swept out of sight.
"Password?" The fat lady said.
"Pickle toads." Christi said.
The portrait opened and Christi stepped inside, looking dazed.
'Oh my gosh!' she thought to herself. 'Draco Malfoy kissed me!!!!' She flopped
on to the couch in the Common Room looking dreamy.
"Are you ok?" Ron asked her, waving a hand in her face.
"Yes, I'm fine. . . I'm going up to bed, good night!" Christi said.
She walked up to the girls' dormitory and changed into her pajamas. She crawled
in bed and fell asleep with a smile on her face.
Chapter 4 - Gryffindor Vs. Slytherin
The past week Christi and Malfoy got
to know each other a whole lot better. He snuck to her Quidditch practice and
she did the same thing. Her friends were getting very suspicious. It was Friday
afternoon, and she had Potions with the Slytherins.
She entered the classroom seeing Professor Snape writing ingredients on the
board.
"Hello Professor Snape!" Christi said in a high pitch voice.
Snape turned to her and gave her a cold look.
She sat down in her spot. Joining her was Harry, Hermione, and Ron. They looked
at her funny.
"Are you ok? You just said "Hi!" to Professor Snape." Hermione said.
"I'm in a good mood!" Christi said, offended.
The tardy bell had rung. Professor Snape turned to the class.
"Turn in your essays. You had a week to do it." Snape said.
The class took out pieces of parchment and passed them up to the front. Snape
snatched them up, giving the Gryffindor's a cold look.
He threw the parchment on his desk and went in front of the class.
"Now, today you will be making a Truth potion." Snape said.
Everyone started talking nervously. Snape glared around at the class for silence,
and it came quickly.
"You will partner up in three's." Snape said. He looked around the class.
"Potter, Malfoy, Bass together." Snape said.
Potter looked a little surprised, but didn't argue. He walked over to Malfoy
and Christi, which was already together.
They started to work on the potion.
"Harry! You don't put the flobber worms in yet!" Christi said.
"Oh, sorry." Harry said looking coldly at Malfoy.
"So, Are you ready for the Quidditch Match Harry?" Christi asked, stirring the
potion.
"Yes, I'm fully ready." Harry said.
They mixed the potion a little longer.
"Now you can add the flobber worms." Malfoy said.
Harry did so. Snape came to their table.
"Are you done?" Snape said.
"Almost, these two. . .Harry's very slow." Malfoy said.
"Well, hurry up." Snape snapped.
"Yes sir." Malfoy said.
Before Snape could move Harry yelled that he was done. Snape looked at the Potion.
"It's the right color." Snape muttered.
He wrote something on a piece of parchment and moved on. They looked at each
other for a minute.
"Ok, what's going on between you two?" Harry said, annoyed.
"Nothing!" Christi and Malfoy said together.
Harry looked at them suspiciously. He then glanced at the Truth Potion.
"Fess up Malfoy or I'll use that Truth Potion on you!" Harry said.
"You wouldn't dare!" Malfoy sneered.
"Oh, yes I wou-" Harry was cut off by the bell.
"Take a sample and put it in a bottle. Leave the rest where it is!" Snape said.
Harry took out a sample bottle and poured some of the potion in. Malfoy and
Christi did the same thing.
They left for lunch. Christi ran up to the Gryffindor Common Room and grabbed
her broom. She had a Nimbus 2000.
She then walked to the Great Hall. She sat down at the Gryffindor Table. She
was the best beater since the last. She got in on talent. She got out the gameboy
and hit the A button for Malfoy.
"Are you ready for the Quidditch Match?" Christi asked.
"Yes, what about you?" Malfoy asked.
"I was born ready." Christi said. Malfoy laughed.
"We will see who wins." Malfoy said.
"Yea, I guess we will!" Christi said.
There was an awkward pause for a minute.
"Well, I'm going to go, see you out on the field." Christi said.
"All right, bye." Malfoy said.
Christi turned off the gameboy. She turned to Harry.
"Are you ready for the Quidditch Match?" Christi asked.
"I'm always ready." Harry said.
Christi laughed and finished her lunch. She got up and headed for the locker
rooms. When she got there, she changed into her Quidditch uniform. The rest
of the team piled in and changed into their uniforms. Wood came in, looking
pleased with himself.
"All right guys, this is it. We are going to beat Slytherin! Harry you know
what you have to do, right?" Wood said. Harry nodded.
"Good! Now, lets get out there and so them what were made of!!" Wood screamed.
"YEAH!!!" The team yelled.
They walked out onto the field to hear Gryffindor's cheer and scream, as the
Slytherins booed. Slytherin then came out and Slytherin cheered as Gryffindor
booed.
"Captains, shake hands." Madam Hooch said.
Wood and the Slytherin captain steeped up and shook hands. They backed up rather
quickly.
"Ok, I want a clean game. On my whistle! 3. . .2. . .1. . ." She blew her whistle
and Christi and everyone else shot up and the air too. Christi looked for Harry.
He was higher then her, looking for the Snitch with Malfoy on his tail.
Wood was guarding the goals and the Chaser's were off. Christi gripped her bat
and shrug at a bludger that was speeding towards her. The bat hit the bludger
and it went soaring off. She saw one of the Slytherin chasers with the Quaffle
in his arms.
Christi quickly looked for a bludger and found one rather quickly. She sped
off and its direction and hit the ball towards the Slytherin chaser. The chaser
was so close to the goal he didn't notice the bludger. Christi greeted her teeth
hopping it would only cut her off and not hit her.
The bludger hit the front of her broom and she spun around and around. She let
go of the Quaffle and it went soaring to a Gryffindor Chaser, who caught it
and went towards the Slytherin goal post. She stopped worrying about that for
a second and looked up at Harry and Malfoy. She looked forward just in time
to see a bludger come straight to her. She dodged it, knowing she wouldn't have
enough time to hit it. She looked back at the bludger and saw it was heading
towards a Gryffindor. She kicked her broom forward and urged the broom to go
faster. She finally got to the bludger and hit it away.
"Thanks" The Gryffindor said.
"No problem." Christi said.
She turned around and saw the most frightening thing. Malfoy was zooming towards
the Snitch. Harry was trying to catch up, but he wouldn't be able to before
Malfoy caught the Snitch. She knew what she had to do. She raced towards a bludger.
She hit with all her might towards Malfoy. She waited.
"YES!! GO MALFOY!! GO!!" Snape cheered.
Christi turned around to see Professor Snape standing up, looking happier than
he had in a long time. Professor McGonagall was beside Snape with a worried
look on her face. She was muttering something, but Christi couldn't make it
out. It looked like "Oh no!" Christi turned back around to see the bludger aiming
right at Malfoy. Malfoy hadn't notice. He looked up at the last minute. The
ball hit him right in the stomach.
The power was so powerful that he got thrown off his broom. He hit the ground
with a loud crack and Christi could only guess his ribs were broken.
Harry had caught the Snitch and was holding it up for the screaming Gryffindor's.
Christi looked back at Snape. He was horror struck and Professor McGonagall
was cheering so loudly that it would have awoken every body in the castle at
nighttime.
Christi turned back and kicked her broomstick forward. She hovered over Malfoy,
who was knocked out. She looked up to see the whole Slytherins shoot down at
her. She kicked her broomstick away from them and joined the Gryffindor's.
When she got over there they lifted her upon there soldiers and cheered. But
Christi didn't look very happy.
Christi looked back at Malfoy. Snape was leaning over him. Christi felt horrible.
They let her down and she headed towards the castle. Once she got inside she
started running towards the Gryffindor Common Room.
"Pickle toads!" She bellowed. The portrait opened and she stepped in. She already
had tears in her eyes. She ran up the girls' dormitory. She flopped onto her
bed and started crying. Could there be a possible chance that Malfoy would be
all right? She didn't know. She heard the door open. She stopped crying.
"Christi?" Hermione said. "Are you in here?"
Christi didn't say anything. Hermione walked over to her bed and peeked her
head inside.
"Hey Christi. What's wrong? We won! You shouldn't be crying." Hermione said.
"I feel so bad!" Christi said.
"About what?" Hermione asked.
Christi didn't answer. She stood up and looked at Hermione. She wasn't going
to tell her about Malfoy. Instead she walked past her and went down the stairs.
She stepped into the Common Room. She made herself away from the crowd and to
the portrait hole.
"Hey Christi! I have been looking for you." Fred said.
"Oh, hello Fried. I'm in a bit of a hurry." Christi said.
"Well, we just wanted to congratulate you on knocking Malfoy off his broom.
Your the one that really won the game!" George said.
"Thanks." Christi said, putting on a fake smile.
She got away from Fred and George and reached the portrait hole. She stepped
out and headed for the hospital wing. She still had tears in her eyes and it
wasn't a wonder that Fred and George didn't ask her what was wrong.
She got to the hospital wing and stepped in. She found the bed Malfoy was in.
It was crowded with Slytherins. She gasped and hid.
Finally Madam Pomfrey shooed them off. She slid out of her hiding place and
walked to Madam Pomfrey.
"May I visit with him for a bit?" Christi asked.
Madam Pomfrey blinked at her and then smiled sweetly.
"Sure." She said.
Christi smiled and thanked her. She walked to his bed. She sat in a chair that
was beside the bed. She made sure no one was looking and then put her hand on
his. He opened his eyes and blinked up at her for a second and then smiled.
"I'm so sorry Draco." Christi whispered. "I never meant for this to happen."
Christi said.
Draco smiled and shook his head. "No, it was my fault. I should have paid more
attention. It's nothing. Madam Pomfrey fixed me right up. I'll be out by tomorrow
morning." Draco said.
Christi smiled but didn't say anything. They spent five minutes just staring
at each other and five minutes talking. Finally Madam Pomfrey shooed her off
too.
Knowing that Malfoy was going to be fine. She entered the Common Room and partied
with the rest of the Gryffindor's. Finally Professor McGonagall came in and
told them all to go to bed. Christi said good night to Ron and Harry before
she went up to bed Hermione.
Chapter 5 - The Rumor
Christi woke up the next morning at 9:00am.
She crawled out of bed and got dressed. She went down to the Great Hall to get
some breakfast. When she stepped into the Great Hall, she got an enormous amount
of cheers and applause from the Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff Tables.
None from the Slytherins though.
She walked over to the Gryffindor Table and took her seat. She piled some food
onto her plate and then started eating. She grabbed her gameboy out of her bag
and turned it on. She clicked on Draco Malfoy.
"Draco?" She said.
"Yes?" Malfoy replied.
"Where are you?" She asked.
"In the hospital Wing. I'm just now getting out. I'll see you in the Great Hall."
Malfoy said.
"Ok, bye." Christi turned off the gameboy and started eating again. The next
thing was cheering from the Slytherins.
Christi turned to look and saw Malfoy heading towards the Slytherins. Christi
smiled, seeing he was all right. She turned back and finished her breakfast.
"What do you want to do today?" Harry asked.
"Lets go visit Hagrid! We haven't done that in awhile." Hermione suggested.
They all agreed and headed for Hagrids' Hut. They knocked on the door. The door
opened and Hagrid stood there.
" 'Ello, come in!" Hagrid said.
"Thanks!" Christi said, and walked in. They sat down and Christi scratched behind
Fangs ears.
"Tea?" Hagrid asked.
"Sure!" Ron said.
Hagrid started making tea.
"Congratulations Christi!" Hagrid bellowed.
"Congratulations?" Christi said. "About what?"
"about what?!? You won the game!" Hagrid said.
"Uh. . .Thanks." Christi said.
Hagrid walked over to them and handed them the tea.
"Thanks!" Harry said, while Hagrid took a seat.
"Its not a problem!" Hagrid said.
"So, how is school going?"
"Good!!" Christi bellowed out.
The hut came silent and everyone stared at her.
"Uh. . .sorry." Christi said. "I just had a really good week."
Harry, Ron, Hermione and Christi spent the rest of the day at Hagrids'.
"Well, we better get going." Christi said.
Hagrid grinned. "all right, see ya guys later!" and the rest of them walked
out of the Hut and headed back to the castle. When they got inside the castle,
it was suppertime. They had lunch with Hagrid and hadn't eating supper yet.
They walked inside the Great Hall and sat in their usual spot. Christi drank
deeply from her drink. She was thirsty from Hagrids' fudge.
"Hey! Look!" Harry was looking up at the staff table, straight at Dumbledore.
Beside him was a huge black dog. The dog looked pretty happy to be up there.
"What is he doing here?" Harry said.
Christi shrugged. "Maybe to visit you."
But there ideas were swept out of their minds when Dumbledore stood up. The
hall got silent. Dumbledore's eyes twinkled at all the students. Even the Staff
were looking at him in interest.
"This is a important announcement. This dog right here will be staying in the
school building. He belongs to a student, and will remain with that student
for the rest of the school year and so on. The dog will not bite or harm anyone.
It is well trained. That is all."
Dumbledore sat down and the black dog walked over to Harry. Harry could feel
eyes on him, but didn't bother to fuss or do anything about it.
"Hello snuffles" Christi greeted the dog, patting it on the head. The dog thumped
his tail on the stone floor.
Many people came over to pet the dog. Malfoy came over and starred at the dog
and then turned to Harry. "Nice dog Potter. Where did you get it at? The junk
Yard?" Malfoy laughed a cold laugh.
Christi stood up before any of them.
"Draco! Stop it! If you're going to be mean to any of my friends then leave!"
Christi gave him a stern look.
Malfoy frowned. " Sorry Christi, just thought I would have a little fun with
Potter, that's all." Malfoy shrugged and smirked at Harry, who was speechless
and shocked.
"Go back to your table Draco! I'll talk to you later." Christ pointed towards
the Slytherin Table for him to leave. Malfoy frowned and went back to his own
Table.
Christi sat back down. Harry did so to in shock. Even Snuffles seemed to be
shocked. The whole Gryffindor Table seemed to be staring at her in amazement.
Christi ignored the stares and whispers and finished her meal. She got up and
walked out of the Great Hall.
"Malfoy has never ever obeyed a Gryffindor." Hermione said.
"Its simple, isn't it." Fred butted in. "There going out."
"No way! Malfoy would never go out with a Gryffindor!" Ron blurted out.
"Then there good friends." George said.
"I don't believe any of it!" Harry said, staring at Malfoy. "Christi would never
betray us. Would she?" Harry looked at Ron and Hermione for an answer, but all
they did was shrugged and finished there supper.
"I'm going up to bed." Hermione announced standing up. Ron did too.
Ron and Hermione walked out of the Great Hall. Harry stayed and chatted to Fred
and George. Harry finally got up and headed towards the Gryffindor Common Room.
He turned and saw Christi and Malfoy talking in front of the Gryffindor Common
Room. Harry listened.
"Draco, if you're going to come to the Gryffindor Table, don't insult my friends!"
Christi said.
"I'm sorry Christi. I won't do it again!" Malfoy looked guilty.
"Good! Now, I have to go." Christi smiled at him. Malfoy smiled back. He bent
over and gave her a hug.
"Bye!" Draco said, and started walking towards Harry. Harry hid behind a statue
while Malfoy passed by.
After he passed, Harry looked down at Sirius. "I can't believe it!" Harry was
stunned.
Sirius started growling. "Yea, I know." Harry got up and stepped out, but ran
right into Snape.
"Sorry Professor Snape." Harry said.
"Here!" Snape held out an envelope. "Dumbledore wanted me to give you this."
Harry took the letter. Harry looked at the cover. It had a name scribbled on
it. Sirius. Harry looked down at the dog. "Its for you." Harry said.
Before Harry could give the dog the letter, Sirius jumped up and snatched it
out of his hands.
"Hey! Gez, you don't have to be so mean about it!" Harry looked up at Snape,
which was watching the dog closely. He turned back to Harry.
"I have to go, bye!" Harry ran off, chasing after Sirius. Harry said the password
and Sirius ran in the Common Room. He raced up the stairs and waited by the
closed door. He finally got it opened with his paws and raced in, shutting the
door with his tail.
Harry chased after him. He stopped at the table were Ron, Hermione, and Christi
was. He turned to Christi.
"I'll talk to you later Christi! Yes, I saw you and Malfoy hug." He raced to
his dorm, leaving Christi to explain to Ron and Hermione.
Harry ran in his dorm. His bed curtains were closed, but you could hear a lot
of rummaging around. Harry snuck into the bed.
"What is it? You really didn't have to snatch it out of my hand like that. I
could have handed it to you." Harry watched Sirius rummage threw papers.
"Sorry." He grunted.
"So, what is it?" Harry said, anxious.
"Here, look for your self." He handed Harry the papers.
Harry took the pages and found a letter from Dumbledore. It said:
Dear Sirius,
It seems that Harry's Aunt and Uncle
has told the muggle police about you. Harry will be staying with you for this
summer. I have arranged for you to leave with the Weasley's. I have owl posted
them and they said yes, they will take you and Harry in for the summer. If they
go out anywhere, you must change into your dog-like self. Although, I doubt
you will be going anywhere. Tell Harry Hi for me and watch out for people. Don't
get caught in your human form. Severus isn't too happy about you being here,
so try to avoid him as much as possible. Dumbledore
Harry finished reading the letter and
looked over at Sirius.
"Sorry, what are all these papers?" Harry asked. Sirius looked at him again.
"Muggle business."
Harry nodded. He was smiling broadly. He couldn't believe he was going to go
live with the Wesley's and his Godfather.
"What are you so happy about?" Sirius grunted. Harry looked at him and frowned.
"Have you read the letter from Dumbledore?!"
Sirius shook his head 'No.' Harry threw the parchment at him and smiled at him.
"You will see why I'm so happy." Harry got up and headed for the stairs.
"Where are you going?" Sirius asked.
"I'm going to talk to Christi about her and Malfoy."
Sirius smirked and started reading the letter.
Harry walked downstairs and saw Christi and Ron yelling. Hermione was trying
to break the fight. Everyone else was opened-mouth shock. Christi saw Harry
out of the corner of her eye and spun on him.
"Why did you have to tell everyone!"
Harry was shocked by this. "I didn't tell everyone. I simply told you that I
would talk to you later about you and Mal-"
"You don't have to say it again!"
"Sorry." muttered Harry.
"Well, for your information, the whole Gryffindor Common Room knows that I'm
going out with Draco Malfoy!!!"
Christi stormed off. She went out of the Common Room, storming down the halls,
heading for the library. She had her bag with her, so she decided to do her
homework.
Harry stared at Ron for a minute. Then, Sirius came down in his dog form. The
room was awkwardly silent. Slowly people started talking again. Harry flopped
in a chair. He then smiled at Ron.
"Ron, did your mom tell you that I'm going to be staying with you over the summer?"
Ron's eyes brightened up. "Are you serious? But, how? Why?"
Harry laughed and started telling him about Sirius' letter. After Harry was
done telling him, Ron was so excited he couldn't believe it.
"I can't believe it Harry! You and Si- I mean, Snuffles get to spend the whole
summer together. Harry smiled. Sirius tugged on Harry's cloak. Harry looked
down at the dog. The dog lifted one of his legs and back down again, showing
he had to go to the bathroom. Harry got up and opened the portrait door. He
told Ron and Hermione that he would be right back and stepped out of the portrait
hole. He followed Sirius out to the Hogwarts grounds. Sirius did his business
and walked back inside. They got to the portrait hole and Harry said the password.
They entered and Harry sat back down where he was at. They started talking about
numerous stuff.
Christi was in the library, doing her homework. She knew that the truth would
spread like wild fire. She paused on her homework and took out the gameboy.
She looked back at her homework.
She had to do a two-page essay on Muggle Studies. But she couldn't think of
anything to say. She turned on the gameboy and clicked on the Muggle study Professor's
name.
"Hello? Professor?" Christi said. "I am one of your students, Christi Bass.
I can't find anymore information on Muggle studies."
"Look in the back of the library." The Professor said.
"Thank you professor! Bye!"
Christi turned off the gameboy and put it back in her bag. She got up and headed
for the back of the library. She started looking for the book. She finally found
a book about Muggles. She pulled the book out and saw a boy. His back was facing
her and she couldn't see his head real good. She shrugged and opened the book
and flipped threw the pages. She decided that this was a book she was going
to check out. She walked up to the counter and checked the book out. After she
turned around, she bumped right into the boy that she saw earlier that day in
the library. It was Draco. Christi frowned at him and walked past him. Draco
turned around and looked at her in amazement. Why didn't she do or say something?
Was she mad at him or something. He ran and caught up with her.
"Hey! What's going on?" Draco hollered after her. Christi had tears in her eyes.
She tried to run faster, but Draco caught up with her and spun her around.
"Hey! What's up?!?!" Draco said. "Are you all right? Why are you crying?"
Christi faced him. "Oh Draco! They know! Soon everyone will know. What are we
going to do?" Christi walled.
"Who knows? What are you talking about?" Draco said.
"I'm saying that all the Gryffindor's know and soon the whole school will know!
What are we going to do?"
Draco was shocked and confused. "How do they know?" Draco said.
"Harry saw us! But he had to tell everyone else!" Christi then ran off to the
Gryffindor Common Room. She said the password and ran in there still crying.
Everyone stared at her but she took no notice and threw herself on the bed and
cried until she fell asleep.
Chapter 6 - The Switch
The next morning, Christi got up early
and walked down to the empty Common Room. She sat on an armchair and reviewed
everything that went on yesterday. While thinking she had an idea. She frowned
at the idea but was going to have to ask Dumbledore. She got up and walked to
her bag. She pulled out the gameboy and turned it on. She hoped it wasn't to
early. She clicked on his name.
"Professor Dumbledore?" Christi said.
"Yes, I'm here Christi. What do you need?" Dumbledore replied.
"Well, I was wondering if I could possibly switch houses?" Christi said without
thinking twice.
Dumbledore was quite surprised. "What?!?! You want to change houses? Which house?"
"Slytherin! I belong in Slytherin!"
Dumbledore chuckled. "Christi, Christi, Christi. Yes, you were really supposed
to be in Slytherin. Your father was and still is in Slytherin. Your mother is
dead. You were adopted by some wizards and witches when you were a baby. I can
not tell you who your father is, but I will move you to Slytherin." Dumbledore
said.
Christi was so shocked there was no words to describe how shock she was.
"Is my father. . .at this school?" Christi asked.
"I am afraid I can not tell you that. But think of the chances of your father
being here. Zero. Listing to me Christi, your father is a very important man.
You must not go looking for him. Please don't! I must go now, but I will talk
to you soon. I will announce it at breakfast this morning, bye!" Dumbledore
signed off and Christi put the gameboy away.
It was about time that breakfast started. She walked back down to the Common
Room and saw Harry, Ron, and Sirius there. He knew he was going to have to lose
friendship with them.
They looked at her suspiciously, but instead of Christi feeling hurt, she felt
angry. She glared at them and walked out of the Common Room, heading to the
Great Hall. When she got there she did not know which table to go to. She looked
up at Dumbledore for an answer. He nodded to the Gryffindor Table. She walked
towards there and sat down by Fred.
"Hello Christi!" Fred said.
Christi didn't respond, just started eating. Soon Harry, Ron, and Hermione along
with Sirius joined the table.
Christi would not answer or respond to any of their comments and questions.
Then Harry took her bye the soldiers and shook her.
"What is up with you?!?!?" Harry said.
But just at that moment when Christi was going to yell at him, Dumbledore stood
up and the whole Great Hall got quiet.
"I have an announcement to tell you all! It seems that someone in Gryffindor
is going to switch houses. You know who you are. Will you please come up here."
Christi didn't stand up right away but eventually she did and everyone gasped.
She walked up to Dumbledore and stood by him.
"Christi Bass is moving into the house of Slytherin!" Dumbledore announced.
Harry, Ron, Sirius and Hermione were all shocked.
"What is she thinking?!?" Hermione yelled.
"She did belong in Slytherin all along." Dumbledore said.
With a wave with his wand, Christi's clothes soon turned to Slytherin clothes
and all her belongings. The Slytherins clapped and hollered. Christi looked
up at Dumbledore and he smiled at her and nodded. Christi took the nod as she
should go to the Slytherin Table now.
Christi walked to the Slytherin Table and sat by Malfoy. Draco bent over to
her and whispered something in her ear.
"Now we don't have to keep it a secret no more." Draco said.
Christi giggled and nodded. There hands met and they hugged. When they broke
up, she had just remembered about Snape. What was his reaction?
Christi looked up at the High Table and looked right where Snape was. But he
was not in his usual spot. She looked over at Dumbledore and then saw Snape
talking to him. They then both looked at Christi at the same time. Christi did
not look away. She kept on staring at them. Then both of them looked away and
Snape said a few more words to Dumbledore and then nodded and went down the
stairs and headed for the Slytherin table.
When he got there Christi looked at him blankly. Snape handed her, her schedule.
"I think you will be needing this." Snape said.
Christi took the schedule and nodded at him in a very serious way. Like that
was business or something.
Snape went back to the High Table and Christi looked at her schedule. Monday
she would have Potions with the Hufflepuffs. She put the schedule in her pocket
and started eating again.
"Hello!" A female girl said. Christi looked up and saw it was a fairly pretty
girl with freckles and solider length hair.
"Hello!" Christi said. "What's your name?"
"Vilent. Welcome to the Slytherin House! Professor Snape is are leader or as
we like to say, Master!" Vilent said.
Christi looked up at the High Table and looked at Snape. At first he didn't
make eye contact with wit her, but then he turned and looked at her. Christi
smiled. Snape nodded and smirked. Not a cocky smirk, but one that said Welcome.
Christi turned back to Vilent and smiled. "Yes, I know. What year are you in?"
Christi asked.
"I'm in the 4th year! What about you?"
"Same, why haven't I seen you before?"
"My dad transferred me over here. I didn't want to come at first, but then I
got use to it and I started liking it."
"Well, welcome then. This is my boyfriend, Draco Malfoy!" Christi said.
"Boyfriend?!?. . .Oh! Ummm. . .Hi Draco!" She said, blushing.
Draco looked at her funny and smirked.
"Hello! Welcome to Hogwarts!" He said.
Vilent smiled but couldn't say anything else because the bell had just rang.
"Oh my! Do we have class today?" Vilent said.
"No we don't, but we have to get out of the Great Hall." Christi said. Christi
stood up and pulled Draco up and pulled him close.
"Oh, Draco! I love you!" Christi said.
"I love you too!" Draco said.
They kissed a quick kiss and then turned to Vilent.
"Come on, let's go to the Common Room! I have to finish my plans for Potter
and his lousy friends!" Draco said.
Christi looked at the Gryffindor Table and saw Hermione crying. She felt so
bad. She left her friends to join the Slytherins. But she belonged and Slytherin.
Dumbledore even said so. She stopped in her tracks. Draco stopped too, but Vilent
kept on going. Draco looked at her and studied her face. She looked like she
was going to cry.
Christi's lip quivered and she tried so hard to hold it in. Dumbledore's hand
touched her solider and she looked up to see him.
"Sometimes its just hard to let go to the ones you loved." Dumbledore said.
Christi then couldn't hold it in any more and a tear fell down her cheek and
Dumbledore took her in his arms. She then busted out crying.
Snape came over to see what was going on. When he got there he looked at Dumbledore
for an answer.
"She misses Gryffindor. Its hard to switch to Slytherin and leave your friends
behind." Dumbledore said.
Snape looked at the Gryffindor Table and saw Ron and Harry trying to comfort
Hermione. Sirius was staring at them. Then Harry and Ron looked their way and
saw Christi crying in Dumbledore's arms, Draco to shocked and confused for words
and Snape staring at them. Snape turned back to them and looked at Draco. He
then looked at Christi and stared at her for a while.
When she stopped and pulled away from Dumbledore. She looked at Snape and waited
from him. Snape then did something he would never do. He pulled her towards
him and hugged her. Snape was shaken. Was he crying? But instead of pulling
away, she broke out down again and let him comfort her.
Snape took a deep breath and pulled away. Before she could see his face he turned
away and walked out. She looked at Dumbledore and saw him smiling. She then
looked at the Gryffindor Table. There was her friend, staring at them, shocked.
She looked at Draco and he was shocked too. She signed and headed back to the
Common Room. Draco followed.
Chapter 7 - The Discovery
The next morning Christi got up and got
dressed. She went down to the Slytherin Common Room. There weren't many people
up that morning. She looked at her watch and saw she was up a bit earlier then
usual.
Vilent was already up. She was on the love seat reading potions. Christi went
to her and sat by her.
"Hello!" Christi said.
"Oh! Hello! What are you doing up this early?" Vilent asked.
"I didn't mean to wake up this early. What about you?" Christi said.
"I always get up this early when we have a test. Did you study?"
"What?!?! We have a test? What subject?" Christi hollered, surprised.
"Potions. You didn't know?" She said.
"No, I didn't know! Oh, Snape was right! I need to pay attention more to school
then to my love life. What am I going to do?" Christi wailed.
Well, I can't help you, but, I would start studying with the time that you have."
Vilent said.
So Christi studied of the little time she had. She then looked at her watch
and saw it was time for breakfast. She shut her book and got her stuff together.
Vilent and Christi walked down to the Great Hall. She sat down by Draco and
kissed him on the cheek.
"Good morning Draco! How are you doing?" Christi asked.
"Not good at all! I forgot to study for my Potions test! What am I going to
do?!?! I can't afford to fail this test!" Draco panicked.
"Study now then!" Christi said.
"I have to eat though." Draco said.
"Can't you eat and study at the same time?" Christi asked.
"No!" Draco said.
"Well, think of something!"
Christi got out her gameboy and pressed on Professor Snape.
"Professor Snape! Draco forgot to study! Can you take it easy on him for me?"
Christi asked.
There was no answer at first and then he answered slowly.
"Yes, I will Christi. I always do."
"Thank you!" Christi said. She looked up and saw Snape starring right at her.
He seemed to be thinking hard.
"Professor? Are you all right?" Christi asked.
"Yes, I'm fine. I must go, bye." Christi turned off the gameboy. "Ok?" Christi
said.
After she ate, she made for her potions class with Draco by her side. When they
got there, all the Hufflepuffs were waiting and some of the Slytherins. After
awhile Snape came storming threw. He threw the doors opened and stormed in the
classroom.
The students followed. After everyone had taken their seats, Snape went in front
of the class. He looked a bit mad and frightened at the same time.
"I hope you studied! Because we have a test to do!"
He turned sharply and went to the chalkboard and started writing the questions
to the test.
"Turn them into me when you are done!"
The class got out a piece of parchment and did the test. Snape went around the
room check and watching everyone. He then went to his desk and jotted a letter
down. He walked through the class again. When he got to Christi, he didn't even
stop. Just kept on going.
Christi was doing her test and she was almost done when a paper fell out of
Professor Snape's pocket. She picked it up and looked around. No one was looking.
She opened it up and read it. She gasped out loud.
Snape made it look like he didn't finish it and wasn't going to give it to her.
Once he heard the gasp, he turned around and looked at her. She was looking
at him in horror. He walked towards her very fast. He grabbed the letter and
threw it away.
"See me after class, Bass!" Snape said.
Christi didn't say anything but just finished her test. She got up and walked
to his desk where he was grading papers. She put the test on the desk and stared
at him.
Snape looked up and saw her.
"How could yo-" Christi got cut off.
"See me after class, I said, now go sit down." Snape ordered.
Christi did so, but she kept on staring at him. When the bell rang everyone
went out of the class besides Christi. She told her friends to go to there next
class.
She walked to his desk. She could not say anything at all. Professor Snape finished
writing something down and then he looked up at Christi.
"Follow me." He said.
Christi said nothing, just followed him. They went into a room where half of
it was an office and the other half was a bedroom. Was this Professor Snape's
office?
Professor Snape sat down at his desk and stared at Christi blankly.
"Have a seat." Snape said finally.
Christi took a seat and looked at Snape. They sat in silent for a long while.
In this long period of time, Christi was thinking. She then felt very mad, how
could he not tell her and when was he going to tell her this.
When Snape saw the expression on her face, he decided it would be better to
start talking.
"Christi, I-" Snape was cut off.
"WHEN WERE YOU PLANNING ON TELLING ME THIS!" Christi yelled.
Snape was very much taken aback. He waited to long.
"Christi Listing to me! Your mother died for your safety! I abandoned you! I
was stupid! When I saw you at this school, I was scared. I was scared of a lot
of things. Yes, it is true. . .that I am your father. Your birth name is Christi
Snape." He paused.
"Then. . .that explains why you gave me the muggle toy!" Christi said.
Snape nodded. "Yes, it is. And that also explains that hug I had giving you.
I know how it feels to lose friends. . . Well, it's getting late. The bell had
already rung. Get on to class." Snape said.
"But, what do I do then? Do I just keep it a secret, or what?" Christi said.
"Yes, Keep it a secret! No one should know yet, not even Malfoy. Now go!" Snape
said.
Christi grabbed her bag and ran out of the door. She stopped out of the classroom
door and looked back. Snape was just coming out of the room. Christi smiled
and Snape nodded and return. Christi ran out the door. She went down to the
Slytherins Common Room and put her potion away. She then ran outside to Hagrids'
Hut, for Care of Magical Creatures.
She ran to Draco and smiled at him. She then went to Hagrid and looked up at
him. He frowned at her.
"Sorry, Professor Snape held me back." Christi said.
Hagrid didn't say anything, just pointed over where the Slytherins were. Christi
walked over to Draco.
"What did I miss?" Christi asked.
"Not much, he was just giving us instruction on what to do." Draco said. Where
were you?"
"As I said to Hagrid, Snape held me back." Christi said.
"What for?" Draco asked.
"I can't say."
"Why not? Does it have to do with that hug he gave you? Draco said, eyebrows
raised.
"Yes, and that is all I'm saying." Christi looked up at Hagrid as he was explaining
something about some creature.
Christi smiled to herself. So, Professor Snape really was her farther.
Chapter 8 - The Fight
The week passed quickly for Christi and
soon it was the weekend. It was Saturday. Christi woke up and went down to the
Great Hall for breakfast. She met Draco and her Slytherin friends.
"Thank god it's the weekend!" Vilent said.
"Yea, I know what you mean, I've had enough of Professor McGonagall saying I
made the wrong choice or something like that." Christi said.
No one said anything, but just kept on eating. Christi looked up and saw Vilent
staring at Draco. Christi then turned to Draco but he didn't notice. She turned
back to Vilent who was still staring at Draco. Then Christi felt very mad.
"Do you have a staring problem?" Christi remarked nastily at Vilent.
Vilent looked at Christi and smirked.
"No, I do not have a staring problem." Vilent said.
"Then why are you starring at my boyfriend? Go stare at some other guy!" Christi
said.
Draco looked up from his food. "I am sorry Vilent, but I'm already taken." Draco
said.
"Why are you going out with her anyway? She just got in Slytherin to be with
you!" Vilent said.
Draco stood up. "That is not true!" He turned to Christi. "It isn't! . . Is
it?"
Christi stood up. "No! I have my reasons why I'm here!"
"Then why are you in this house?" Vilent asked.
The Great Hall got silent and Christi said nothing.
"Well?" Vilent said again.
Christi looked up at the High Table where Snape sat, he gave her a stern look.
She then looked at Dumbledore. He had a questionable look on his face. He did
not know that she knew Snape was her father. She knew she would have to do this
alone. But before she could answer Vilent cut in.
"HA! That's what I though!" Vilent said. "Your just here because of Draco! Go
back to Gryffindor where you belong!"
Draco looked at her stunned. "So, you just here because you like me and were
going out?"
"No! Please! Its-" Christi was cut off.
"I thought you loved me!" Draco yelled.
"I do!" Christi said.
"Then why did you come over here?!?" Draco yelled.
Christi was about to lose the guy she truly loved. What was she going to do?
"Draco, I-"
"I don't want to hear it! No, you're not sorry!" With that he stomped off. Christi
was now very mad. She stomped over to the High table and went over to Snape.
"This is all your fault! You better be starting all this out! I don't know nor
care why we should keep it a secret! I'm in Slytherin because my father is in
Slytherin." Christi yelled.
Dumbledore came over and laid a hand on Christi's shoulder.
"I think I need to tell you who your father is now." Dumbledore said.
Christi jerked away. "I know who my father is." She turned to Snape. "And I
am not afraid to tell anyone either. . .Father!" Christi said, making sure everyone
in the Great Hall heard that. She turned to all the tables. "Professor Snape
is my father! That is why I am in Slytherin!" Christi jumped down from the High
Table and went to Vilent.
"THAT is the reason why I am in Slytherin." Christi said.
"Why couldn't you tell me that before?" Vilent said.
"Because for some reason he didn't want me to tell anyone." Christi then walked
out of the Great Hall leaving everyone shocked in silence.
Christi went to the Slytherin Common Room to see if Draco was in there. He wasn't.
She went up to the boys' dormitory and peeked inside. No one was in there. She
walked in. She didn't know which bed was Malfoy's.
"Draco?" Christi called out. No answer She looked at all the beds but they were
empty. She ran out of the Slytherin Common Room and looked threw the whole castle.
She though of just giving up and going back to the Slytherin Common Room when
she though of a place she hasn't checked. Outside!
She busted threw the double doors and ran to the lake. He wasn't there.
"MALFOY!!!" Christi yelled. She fell on her knees and cried out his name again.
She stopped to catch her breath when something came skipping threw the water.
She looked up to see a rock being skipped. Another rock skipped and Christi
looked up to see Draco.
Christi jumped up and stared at his pale face.
Christi walked up to him. They stared at each other for a while.
"The reason why I'm in Slytherin is because Professor Snape is my father. He
is the reason why I am in Slytherin. He didn't want anyone to know. But the
whole school knows now. Please forgive me Draco. Please!"
Draco stared at her and then smiled.
"I could never stay mad at you." Draco pulled Christi towards him and they hugged.
Christi embraced Malfoy and gasped.
"Oh Malfoy! I though I was going to lose you forever! I'm so sorry!" Christi
welled.
"Shhh. . . It's ok. Don't be sorry." Draco said.
When Christi had calmed down, they walked back to the castle. By this time it
was 2:30 pm. They went to the Slytherin Common Room.
"Mudblood!" Christi said. The door opened and Christi and Draco entered laughing.
"Oh, Draco! Have you finished that plan for Potter and his friends?" Christi
asked.
"No, I haven't. Potter is the least of my worries." Draco said.
Something got Draco's attention and he stared at the couch with a shocked and
confused look on his face.
Christi looked too and saw Professor Snape staring at them. Something was in
his hands that he had been reading. Professor Snape rarely came into the Slytherin
Common Room, unless it was to make them go to bed, which rarely happened.
"Clever plan Malfoy." Snape said waving the paper in the air. "But you don't
need nothing to lose House points." And with that he waded it up and threw it
in the fire.
"Hey! No! I worked hard on that!" Draco yelled.
"Will you stop it! You have made this day bad enough! Do you have to make it
worse!" Christi yelled.
He stood up. "I made it bad?!? You're the one that told everyone that I'm your
father! I should have never told you that. Your the one that made it worse!"
Snape yelled.
"If you didn't tell me that I had to keep it a secret then this would have never
happened! Everyone would have found out any ways. Why did you want to keep it
a secret any ways?" Christi said.
"Because if someone knew I was your farther then they would think I'm sweet
in nice, and that's the last thing I want people to think of me!" Snape said.
"I highly doubt that." Christi said.
"You know nothing about me, so I would shut up if I were you!" Snape said. He
then walked past them and stomped out of the Common Room.
Chapter 9 - Attack!
Later that night Christi woke up sweating
and breathing hard. She wiped the sweat away with the back of her hand and looked
around the room.
"Just a night marry." Christi panted
She got out of bed and went over to the water jug to get a drink of water.
She filled the cup up three times before throwing away the cup and going back
to bed. She tossed and turned, not able to go back to sleep. She finally decided
to go down to the Common Room and do her Herbology homework.
When she got down there, carrying her books, she was surprised to see that she
wasn't going to be alone. Someone was sitting on the couch. She walked over
to the person and sat by the person. It was a girl.
She looked over at Christi and jumped.
"Don't scare me like that!" Vilent said.
"Sorry, what are you doing?" Christi asked.
"Oh nothing, just thinking. I couldn't get to sleep, what about you?" Vilent
said.
"I had a bad dream. I couldn't go back to sleep. So I decided to come down here
and do my Herbology homework." Christi said.
"So, Snape is your father huh?" Vilent said.
"Yea, I don't want to talk about it. Today has been a mess." Christi said.
"You mean yesterday?" Vilent corrected her.
"What time is it?" Christi asked.
"3:00am. I haven't been asleep at all." Vilent said.
"Aren't you tired though?" Christi asked.
"Nah, I can stay up for two straight days." Vilent said, shrugging it off.
"Listen, I just want to say I'm sorry about yesterday in the Great Hall. You
were under pressure and I understand that." Vilent said, patting Christi on
the shoulder.
Christi said nothing. She opened her book up and began doing her homework. After
about 30 minutes she had to go to the restroom. She got up and told Vilent that
she would be right back. She walked out at the stone wall and headed for the
bathrooms. She turned the corner and saw the most shocking site ever. She leaned
against the wall and slid down it. She felt sick all of the sudden.
But she knew that she had to do something. She jumped up and turned the corner
again. There was Snape kicking and beaten Sirius. She couldn't take it any more.
She hated to see animals being mistreated even if they are animugus's.
"STOP!!!" Christi yelled.
Snape stopped beaten him and dropped the dog. Sirius came running towards the
voice that saved his life, only to find that it was a Slytherin. Christi ignored
the dog and went straight to Snape. When she got in front of him, she slapped
him.
"How can you do that?!?! Why are you my father? I'm nothing like you!" Christi
said.
"Because you were adopted by some sickening Gryffindor's that made you like
you are. Me and Sirius have never been friends. If he crosses my path again
he's a dead dog! Why are you even protecting him? He's a Gryffindor!" Snape
spat.
"I hate seeing animals being mistreated, even if it is an animigus!" Christi
said.
"So, you wouldn't save me if I was in my human form?" Sirius said.
Christi spun around and faced Sirius.
"Shut up Sirius! Your lucky I saved your butt." Christi said, spinning around
to face Snape again. Sirius was bleeding and weak. He stood there glaring at
Snape.
"Now that's the attitude I want to hear from you." Snape said.
"Oh, you shut up too! I don't want to hear another word out of your mouth!"
Christi said, feeling braver then she normally was.
"Don't you talk back to me young lady! I'm still your father and as your farther,
I command you to go back to bed!" Snape said.
"I don't have to do nothing that you say! Your not my father and you never were!
I hate you!" Christi said. She turned to run but Snape grabbed her arm and turned
her around. He slammed her against the wall and talked in a harsh voice.
"Don't you ever say anything like that again. I am to your father and whether
you like it or not, I always will be."
Christi tried to get out of his grip, but he was too strong, she looked at Sirius
for help but he backed up and horror.
"Get back here you stupid mutt! I helped you and your backing away from him."
Christi yelled at Sirius.
"Keep away Black or I will kill you!" Snape said.
With that, Sirius turned into his dog-like self and ran for it.
"You stupid mutt!" Christi yelled.
"Shut up!" Snape's cold voice bit threw her own voice. "Now, what were you doing
out here anyways?"
"I was going to the restroom. When I turned the corner that's when I saw you
and Sirius. Now let me go!" Christi said.
"No! I will not let- AHHHHHHH!!!!"
Snape yelled. He let Christi go, but threw her to the corner.
Christi tell in a dark corner. She hit her head on the wall and went out cold.
Chapter 10 - War, Peace and Love
Christ woke up in the hospital wing.
She groaned and looked around. She saw Professor Dumbledore sitting in a chair.
His back was facing her and he was hunched over. Christi sat up and looked to
her left there was Snape sleeping. His arm was bandaged up and it seemed he
had a broken arm.
Christi looked over to her right were Dumbledore was hunched over. She leaned
over a bit to see what was on the bed. All she could see was furry feet. She
knew it had to be Sirius. Christi stood up and went to the end of Sirius' bed.
His head was bandaged and blood soaked through it. On the other side of the
bed, Harry was sleeping.
She looked back at Sirius. He was hurt more then Snape. His right front leg
was bandaged up. Christi wondered what time it was. She looked at her watch
and it read 2:00pm.
She walked over to Sirius and knelt down.
"Oh Sirius, I'm so sorry. Why did Snape do this to you?" Christi said.
"Because he got in Snape's way." Dumbledore said.
Christi jumped. She looked up to see Dumbledore was not asleep.
"What happened?" Christi asked.
"It seems that Sirius had to go to the bathroom at night. He then ran into Snape.
They got into an argument and Snape started beating him. That's when you came
in. You were brave to stand up to your father. But you lost. You though that
Sirius was a chicken and ran away. But that was just acting. He snuck back in
there and as nasty as this might seem, he bit Snape in the butt. Snape yelled
out and threw you against the wall. Right then you went out cold. The yell was
so loud it woke everyone in the castle. Well, not everyone, but those near by.
Even me. Sirius changed into his human self and Snape and Sirius fought. When
I got there Snape and Sirius were both wrestling and hitting each other. I yelled
for silence and Snape stopped what he was doing and stood up rather quickly.
Sirius stayed on the floor flinching at my voice. I asked what happened and
he told me what happened and he told me what I am telling you now. I then took
you to the Hospital wing and Snape and Sirius followed. Of course he was in
his dog-form. Sirius was quit hurt. More than Snape. You came out lucky. Just
a bump on your head and a few bruises. That's it." Dumbledore sighed and looked
at Sirius who was asleep.
There was silence in the room for a while and then a groan came from behind
Dumbledore. He turned around and saw Snape was just waking up. Dumbledore turned
around and faced Christi. Christi was thinking hard and didn't notice Snape
waking up.
"Dumbledore?" Christi said. "Why couldn't Snape just let him go? Everything
would be fine then."
"Oh Christi. Snape hate's the Gryffindor's for reasons I must not share."
"His past?" Christi asked.
"Yes." Dumbledore said.
"Why not? He's asleep, he wouldn't fine out. Plus, he's my father, shouldn't
I know his past?" Christi said.
"One, I'm not asleep and two, I though you said I wasn't your father." Snape
said, standing up and walking towards them.
Christi jumped up and bumped in to Harry who woke up startled.
Christi was quite frightened at the site of her father.
It's ok Christi. He will not hurt you. Nor Sirius again." Dumbledore said.
After all the commotion, Sirius woke up and whimpered. Harry touched his paw
and stroked it.
"Oh Sirius, You'll be all right. I promise." Harry said.
Sirius opened his eyes and saw Harry smiling down at him.
Dumbledore put a hand on his shoulder and Sirius looked his way.
"You may change back to human form now." Dumbledore said.
Sirius whimpered. Slowly he changed back. Once he was in full formation he exhaled
and groaned.
"I'm in much pain Dumbledore." Sirius said.
"Yes, I know. You should get some rest as much as possible." Dumbledore said.
"But what about Madam Pomfrey?" Sirius said.
"Don't worry about her. We have set up another place for her in her patients.
But I'm afraid that you, Snape and Christi are my patients.
At the mention of Snape, Sirius' eyes opened wide. "Where is he?" Sirius growled.
"I'm right here Sirius." Snape said.
Sirius looked forward and saw Snape standing in front of him. When he saw how
hurt he was he was speechless. Of course he wasn't hurt as bad as Sirius himself,
but it seemed he had a broken arm.
"Now, can you two make up or are you not finished beaten each other?" Dumbledore
said with a laugh.
Both Snape and Sirius glared at Dumbledore, telling him that, that was not funny.
With a groan and a grunt, Sirius pulled his self up to sitting position and
stared at Snape with pity. Snape stared at Sirius with a hard look.
"Shake hands you two." Dumbledore said.
Sirius slowly stuck out his hand for Snape to shake. Snape starred at his hand
for a moment and then slowly stuck out his hand and gripped Sirius' hand.
"If we cross paths again, lets not speak to each other. Agreed?" Snape said.
"Agreed!" Sirius said and they shook hands.
Christi didn't know for sure, but she though she saw both Snape and Sirius smirk.
For them that was a smile.
They let go and looked at Harry who was smiling. Sirius walked to him and ruffled
his hair.
"Hey!" Harry said laughing, trying to fix his hair.
"Give it a break! Your hair is already messed up as it is." Sirius said.
Snape smirked and then looked at Christi who was laughing at Harry.
The room then came silent and Christi felt uncomfortable. She was seating on
the far side of a bed looking down. She knew everyone was looking at her.
"Christi?" Dumbledore said.
Christi looked up at Dumbledore but at that moment Christi lost her balance
and fell off the bed.
"Christi!" Snape yelled, running over to her. "Are you all right?"
"What do you care?" Christi snapped, letting him help her up.
She looked up at him and he looked down at her.
"I care because I'm your farther. I'm so sorry what happened earlier this morning,
and I don't blame you for being scared of me. But I promise you that I will
never hurt you again. But I'm also afraid that I'm going to have to give you
a detention for slapping me." Snape said.
Christi's smile faded and she looked shocked and surprised. Snape smirked and
Christi sighed a relief. He was only joking.
"That was not cool!" Christi said laughing. Everyone else started laughing as
well and Christi attacked Snape with a hug. Snape fell onto the same bed as
Harry was seating on.
For the first time, Snape laughed a real laugh.
Chapter 1 1 - On the Run Again
After everyone settled down, Christi
climbed off Snape and looked at Harry. He was a Gryffindor and Christi was a
Slytherin. Christi and Harry stared at each other, not knowing what to do.
"Christi, I think its time to go back to Gryffindor." Dumbledore said.
Christi looked at Dumbledore in astonishment. "But Professor Dumbledore! What
about Draco and Snape!" Christi said.
"I'm afraid that, that will probably affect you relationship with Draco, but
you don't belong in Slytherin. You were meant to be in Gryffindor." Dumbledore
said.
Christi looked at Snape and he nodded of approval. She then looked at Harry
and smiled.
"Welcome back Christi!" Harry said.
"Thanks!" Christi said.
They then started hearing voiced out of the room and before they could do anything,
Madam Pomfrey marched in with Hermione trying to stop her.
"AHHHH! ITS SIRIUS BLACK!!!!" Madam Pomfrey screamed. She ran out of the room
screaming.
Sirius looked at Dumbledore in horror.
"What do I do?" Sirius said panicked.
"Run! Go to the mountains behind Hogsmead where you use to stay, and stay there
until I tell you it's safe and don't turn into your dog self. Run out the doors
and then hide where no one can see you and then change! Now! Go! Run! Hurry!"
Dumbledore shouted.
Before Sirius could get to the door, Hagrid marched in front of it and blocked
the exit.
"Hagrid, get out of the way!!" Dumbledore ordered.
"Professor Dumbledore! This is Sirius Black though!" Hagrid said.
"MOVE!!!" Dumbledore yelled.
Hagrid moved and Sirius ran out the door. He went down many flights of stairs
and then came to the second floor. He came to the top of the marble stairs and
paused in horror. There was all the Slytherins, some Gryffindors, Hufflepuffs
and Ravenclaws. Draco Malfoy was in front.
"ATTACK!!!" He yelled.
Then all of them started running towards him. Sirius turned and ran for dear
life. He ran all the way back to the hospital wing in good speed.
"There's no way out!" Sirius yelled in the hospital wing.
Christi jumped up and so did Harry.
"Follow me!" Harry yelled and he ran out of the hospital wing and headed for
the Gryffindor Common Room. When they got there, Harry said the password and
Sirius, Christi and Harry ran inside the Common Room. They ran up to the boys'
dormitory and Harry busted into the 4th year room. He ran to his trunk and opened
it up. There was Harry's Firebolt that Sirius had given to him for Christmas.
Harry took it out and gave it to Sirius.
"Go out this window. You know where to go. I'll write you!" Harry said. He looked
to his left and the mad mob was coming up the stairs.
"What about you?" Sirius said.
"Don't worry about me!" Harry said.
By this time they were up the stairs and getting in the room.
"Go!" Harry yelled. Sirius zoomed off leaving Harry and Christi to deal with
the crowd.
"Why did you two let him go? Especially you Christi! You're in Slytherin! What
are you doing letting a Gryffindor go like that!" A Slytherin yelled.
"I'm going back to Gryffindor! Yes, I like Slytherin, but I wasn't meant to
be in Slytherin." Christi said.
Christi looked out the window and saw Sirius zooming off towards the mountains.
"Good luck." Christi whispered.
Chapter 12 - Back to Gryffindor
Once everyone was cleared out of the
Gryffindor Common Room, everyone headed to the Great Hall for supper. Harry
was the talk of the day and so was Christi.
Christi walked over to the Slytherin Table and tried to find a place to seat
but everyone blocked their places with bags and books. Malfoy tried to make
room for her but the other Slytherins growled at him and even shoved him out
of the Slytherin Table. There Christi and Draco stood in the middle of everyone.
Christi went over to the Gryffindor Table but didn't get a warm welcome either.
Harry stood up and walked over to Christi. "You can have my place if you want."
Harry said.
"Where would you sit though?" Christi asked.
"I don't know, I bet somebody could make room for me." Harry looked around.
It seemed there was nowhere to sit.
"Go back to the table Harry, I just won't eat." Christi said.
Harry frowned but went back to his seat. Christi looked at Dumbledore but he
was in a conversation with Professor McGonagall. She then looked at Professor
Snape, but he was talking to Professor Moody. She sighed and walked out. Professor
Dumbledore knew she hadn't eaten when he saw her walk out.
She still had her Slytherin robes on and Dumbledore hadn't changed her.
Draco caught up with her. "Hey! Wait up!" he yelled.
Christi stopped when she got outside. "What do you want Draco?!?" Christi bit
at him.
"Why did you let Sirius go! You just watched Potter let him go!" Draco said.
"Listen Draco! I have known Sirius for along time. He's Harry's godfather! It's
a long story and I don't want to talk about it. All I'm saying is that he won't
hurt no one!" Christi said.
"Fine. . .What happen to Potter's dog?" Draco asked sitting on the steps.
Christi sat down by Draco and looked at the direction of the mountains.
"He's an animugus, Draco." Christi said.
"What? Who?" Draco said.
"Sirius Black is an animugus. That was him. The black dog was Sirius Black."
Christi said, looking at him.
Draco smirked but said nothing. Draco put his arm around Christi and they snuggled
against each other watching the sun sink.
Then all of the sudden, Christi's robes turned in to Gryffindor.
"I don't think I'm going to miss being in Slytherin. I'm glad that I'm back
in Gryffindor." Christi said, standing up and walking inside the castle.
She walked inside the Great Hall and they saw Dumbledore standing. He was talking
about Sirius Black, saying he was innocent. He told the whole story to the school.
". . .I have sent a letter to Sirius to stay there for a few days, but I don't
think that is needed. I will send Christi Bass and Draco Malfoy with a note
from me saying to return. He will stay in his dog form most of the time. He
will only change into his human self to eat, shower, use the restroom, and sleep.
The rest of the time he will stay in dog form." Dumbledore turned to Christi
and Draco. "Will you two please get your brooms and fly to the moutains and
retrieve Sirius. Come back here before you leave to get the note from me." Dumbledore
said.
Christi and Draco nodded and exit the Great Hall. Draco went down to the dungeons
where the Slytherin Common Room was and Christi went up the Marble Stairs where
the Gryffindor Common Room was.
They met outside of the castle.
"Oh wait! I forgot the note!" Christi said.
Christi hopped on her broom and zoomed up and up. She flew all the way up to
the owl entry. It was going to be a tight squeeze but she could make it. She
kicked her broom forward and steadied her broom. She ducked her head and shot
threw the hole like a bullet. She turned sharply so she wouldn't hit the wall
and slowed down.
Professor Dumbledore was standing up holding a rolled up parchment in the air.
Christi kicked her broom forward and raced at Dumbledore with great speed. Dumbledore
did not even flinch. Christi grabbed the letter and turned sharply, almost hitting
the wall. She stopped and waved at Dumbledore and flew off out the owl exit.
When she got back to Malfoy she hovered over him.
"Are you ready to go?" Christi asked.
"Yep!" Draco said, getting on his broom and flying off. Christi followed him.
She got even with him and said "Do you even know where you're going?"
"No, and I'm guessing you do?" Draco said.
"Yes, I do, follow me." Christi said and zoomed off towards Hogsmead.
When they got out of Hogsmead they came to a green meadow and in the back where
moutains.
"Which mountain is his?" Draco said.
"That one! Follow me!" Christi yelled and kicked off once more.
When they got on top of the mountain they circled around a couple of times and
then dived in the cave, scarring Sirius half to death.
"It's only us Sirius!" Christi said.
"Who is "us"?" Sirius said.
"Christi and Malfoy." Christi said
"MALFOY?!?! What is he doing here?" Sirius yelled.
"Don't worry! Dumbledore has explained the whole thing to the school. No one
is going to blab on you." Christi said.
"So, is it safe to go back now?" Sirius said.
"Yes, get Harry's Firebolt and follow us." Christi said, jumping on her broom
and riding off. Following behind her was Draco.
They waited for Sirius to come and when he did Christi handed him the letter.
"Here, Dumbledore told us to give this to you." Christi said.
Sirius opened it and read it. "It's just to tell me this isn't a joke. I didn't
think it was. I see that you have changed back to Gryffindor." Sirius said.
"Yes, I have not to long ago either. Come on, let's get back to the castle."
Christi said.
They zoomed off together. When they got to the Hogwarts grounds Christi said.
"You're going to have to change into your dog self when we land. I'll hold Harry's
broom. I don't think he wants dog drool on it." Christi said, laughing.
They all laughed.
When they touched down on ground they climbed on their brooms. Sirius handed
Christi Harry's broom and turned into his dog self. They entered the Great Hall
except Sirius. He had a plan of his own.
"Where is he?" Dumbledore said.
"I don't know, he disappeared." Christi said looking around.
"Hey Potter!" Draco said, taking Harry's broom
Harry turned around to face him. When he saw Malfoy had his broom he got red
hot.
"Give that back Malfoy!" Harry yelled.
"Come and get it!" Malfoy yelled. He did not move so Harry thought he really
was going to give it back.
He walked up to Malfoy and grabbed his broom.
"Now, where's Sirius!" Harry said.
"I'm right here!" Sirius said.
Everyone looked around, not seeing him. All of the sudden a black dog came sprinting
in the Great Hall. He stopped at Harry and wagged his tail.
"There you are!" Harry said.
The dog barked and thumped his tail on the ground.
"He can talk in dog form?" A Slytherin asked.
"No, He changed into his dog-like self before he came running in here." Christi
said.
"Why isn't he listed then?" A Hufflepuff asked.
"Because he never registered. Neither did James Potter or Wormtail." Christi
said.
"Who is Wormtail?" A Slytherin asked.
"Peter Petergrew. He is now serving for The Dark Lord." Christi said.
"Can we see him in human-form?" A Ravenclaw asked.
"Sure, if Sirius wants to." Christi looked down at Sirius and Sirius looked
up at Christi. "Go on then." Christi said.
Sirius backed up and then started running. He jumped off the stairs and transformed
into his human-self, landing on his feet perfectly.
He got a good amount of cheers and applauds. He turned to Dumbledore, Harry,
Christi, and Draco and smiled. He then walked to them.
"Hello!" He greeted them.
"Hey!" They greeted him.
The students headed out of the Great Hall, as it was getting quiet late. Christi
was heading to the Gryffindor Common Room when Vilent came up beside her.
"Well, Hello traitor!" Vilent said with a sneer.
"I'm not a traitor, I just don't belong to Slytherin, sorry." Christi said.
"Then why did you come to Slytherin anyways?" Vilent said.
"Because I though since my father is in Slytherin that I should be in Slytherin,
but I was wrong. Now, please leave me alone." Christi said, coming to the Gryffindor
Common Room door.
"No, I don't think I will." Vilent said.
Christi sighed and took out her wand and before Vilent could say "Quidditch",
Christi had put a stunning spell on her.
"That is for not leaving me alone!" Christi then said the password and entered
the Gryffindor Common Room. A lot of people went to bed, but Harry and Ron were
playing chess, Hermione was studying and Sirius was watching Harry and Ron in
his human form.
"Hello Harry!" Christi said.
"Oh! Hello!" Harry said.
"I think I'm going to get on to bed. See you in the morning! Good night!" Christi
said.
"Goodnight!" Sirius, Harry, Ron, and Hermione said.
Chapter 1 3 - Revenge of Battle
Christi woke up Monday morning. She didn't
feel a lack of sleepiness at all. She got up and got dressed. She trotted down
to the Gryffindor Common Room to find Hermione sleeping in a chair. Her study
books had fallen to the ground. Christi walked up to her and shook her awake.
"Hermione! Wake up!" Christi said.
Hermione woke up, startled.
"Oh my! What time is it?" Hermione asked.
"It's seven 'o clock. You fell asleep on the chair.
Hermione jumped up and shot threw the Common Room and up the stairs. A minute
later Harry, Ron and Sirius came down the stairs.
"What's up with Hermione?" Ron said.
"She fell asleep on the chair." Christi said.
Sirius changed into his human form and said, "Well, that explains why she's
in the same clothes as yesterday.
They all laughed and waited for Hermione to get down to the Common Room. When
she finally got down to the Common Room, dressed in clean clothes, she greeted
them and they hurried to the Great Hall.
When they got there, Christi went over to the Slytherin Table and kissed Draco
on the cheek and greeted him. Christi walked back to the Gryffindor Table and
sat by Harry and Sirius.
"What classes do you have?" Sirius asked Christi.
Christi pulled out her old schedule and looked what she had Monday.
"It seems I have Transfigurations and then care of Magical Creatures with the
Slytherins and then Defense Against the Dark Arts and then Herbology." Christi
said, looking at Sirius.
The bell rang and Christi and her friends headed for Transfigurations. When
they arrived they noticed that they were quite early, no one was in the classroom
besides Professor McGonagall and she was talking with another Professor. They
walked in and dropped their bass on the floor and sat down. They were silent
at first but then started talking.
Professor Snape and Professor McGonagall looked at the three students.
"Your early!" Professor McGonagall said.
"We had nothing better to do." Harry said.
"I must be going now Professor McGonagall." Snape said.
"Oh, please don't. . .I-I mean, umm, if you must Severus." McGonagall said,
blushing.
"You don't have to leave, do you?" Christi said.
Snape turned around and faced Christi. He gave her a stern look and turned back
to Professor McGonagall.
"Do you know what she is talking about?" Snape whispered harshly at Professor
McGonagall.
"No, but I can find out." Professor McGonagall said.
"When?" Snape asked.
"Now, threw the muggle toy you gave her."
"Very well." Snape said.
Christi watched them closely and then a beeping noise filled her thoughts and
she looked at her bag.
"Sorry!" She announced when she was digging in her bag for the gameboy. When
she got it out, she looked at the screen and saw Professor McGonagall's name.
She looked at Professor McGonagall and then pressed the A button.
"Yes?" Christi asked looking straight at her.
"What are you getting at Bass?" Professor McGonagall said.
"Oh, You mean the "Stay Professor Snape" thing?" Christi said.
"Yes, that's what I mean."
"Listing, I'm not going to lie to you but, Professor Snape likes you. Don't
tell him I said that though. I'm not supposed to tell you nor anyone." Christi
said.
"Oh my!" Professor McGonagall gasped.
She had a look on her face of shock, but then she smiled and then started blushing
and giggling.
"But, I'm a Gryffindor! He's a Slytherin. This is wrong." McGonagall said.
But before Christi could respond she saw Snape charging over to her. He leaned
down and harshly whispered to her.
"Have you told her that I like her? Because if you did. . ." Snape looked up,
hearing voices. The kids were coming.
"I'll talk to you later!" Snape whispered.
He turned to Professor McGonagall.
"I'm sorry Minerva, but I must be going now. I have a class myself." And with
that he swept out of the room.
Christi was still connected with Professor McGonagall. She looked over at her.
"He likes you, you like him. I say go for it!" Christi said. "Good-bye!"
She disconnected and took a seat by Hermione and Ron.
"What was that all about?" Harry asked.
"Nothing." Christi said blankly.
But her happy mood didn't last long. When she was in the middle of eating, a
chicken bone floated up in the air and hit Christi in the head. She looked around
and was quit confused. Where did that come from? She shrugged and continued
eating. All of a sudden her cup of pumpkin juice lifted up and splashed Christi
all over the face. Christi screamed and jumped up. The whole Great Hall got
silence and stared at her. She looked around in disgust.
She looked at the Slytherin Table and saw Vilent laughing. Draco was looking
at Christi with concern. Christi marched up to Vilent and towered over her.
Vilent looked up and stopped laughing.
"What's wrong Christi, a little wet?" Vilent laughed.
Christi took out her wand and pointed it at Vilent.
"Don't you ever use magic on me!" Christi yelled.
"I didn't use it on you, I used it on an object to use on you." Vilent said,
smiling.
Christi pointed her wand at a pile of potatoes and yelled. "Wingardium Leviosa!"
The potatoes lifted up and Christi threw it towards Vilent. It hit her in the
face and Christi laughed a cold laugh.
Soon there was a food fight going on. After 5 minutes Dumbledore got it under
control.
"You both get detention with Professor Snape and 5 points off of Gryffindor
House and 10 points off from Slytherin." Dumbledore said.
"What?!?" Why 10?!?" Vilent said.
"Because you started the fight." Dumbledore said.
Chapter 14 - Walk in
Tuesday morning, Christi was in the Great
Hall eating breakfast when Christi's owl came souring in the Great Hall. It
dropped a letter in Christi's lap and flew away. Christi picked it up and opened
it up. She read threw it and put it back in the envelope.
"What is it?" Hermione asked.
"Oh, it was just saying that my detention is tonight with Professor Snape."
Christi said.
"What time?" Harry said.
"After supper." Christi said.
Nothing was said anymore. The bell ran and she headed to Defense Against the
Dark Arts. When they got inside the class, they took out there books and a piece
of parchment. The tardy bell ran and everyone got quiet.
"Turn to pages 232 and read to 240. That will tell you all you need to know
about were wolves. Please take notes while reading threw these pages." Professor
Moody said.
After the Defense Against the Dark Arts, it was Divinations. They took notes
on palm reading.
When lunch came, Christi was sleepy. She didn't feel very hungry, but she ate
anyways.
After lunch was over, she headed to Transfigurations. They took a test on Animigus's
and then started talking about how to change something in to a live animal.
She gave them all a muggle pencil and showed them how to turn it into a worm.
The class then did it.
After Transfigurations, she headed to the dungeons for potions. When she got
in there, she felt weird going in there as a Gryffindor. When she was a Slytherin
she thought she would be able to go to potions as a Slytherin but then things
changed.
She sat down by Harry and Hermione and chatted to them until the bell rang.
Everyone got silent. Snape entered the classroom and went in front of the class.
"Turn in your homework." Snape said.
Christi opened her bag and took out a piece of parchment that had writing on
it. She looked over it and smiled. She worked hard on this essay and was quit
proud of it. She handed it up to the front, smiling. She turned to Hermione.
She was looking at her essay with a frown on her face.
"What's wrong Hermione?" Christi asked..
"Professor Snape is going to give me a F on my paper for writing the essay to
long." Hermione said.
"How many pieces of parchment did you write?" Christi asked.
"Three and a-half." Hermione said.
Christi looked up at Snape, which was counting the essays of which he got. He
looked up at the class.
"Someone has not handed their essay in to me yet." His eyes flashed over to
the Gryffindors and narrowed his eyes on Hermione, which was looking over her
essay, worried.
"Ms Granger. You had enough time to look over your essay before turning it in
to me." He walked over to her and snatched up the essay. He flipped threw it,
a nasty smirk on his face. He then looked at Hermione.
"I said two parchments, not three and a-half, Miss Granger!" Snape yelled.
"I'm sorry sir, it's just that I found so much stuff for the essay. . ."
"SILENCE!! 10 Points off Gryffindor!" Snape yelled, turning around and slamming
the essays on his desk. Everyone had never seen him that mad before. He turned
around, slowly towards the class.
"Now!" He took out his wand and the whole class gasped. "Copy these notes down!"
He pointed the wand at the board and notes appeared.
Supper came and Christi headed to the Great Hall for supper, meeting Harry,
Ron, Hermione, and Sirius. She sat down in her usual spot and started eating.
When desert came someone tapped her on the shoulder. Christi turned around to
see who it is. It was Draco Malfoy.
"Hello Draco! What's up?" Christi said.
"Not much." He said, acting nervous and shy.
"Are you ok?" Christi said.
"No." He said, frowning suddenly.
"What is it Draco?" Christi said.
"Listen, this isn't going to work out. You being in Gryffindor and me being
in Slytherin. I'm sorry Christi, but its over." and with that he walked away.
Christi sat there speechless in shock, watching him walk away from her. She
pushed away her food in disgust.
"What's wrong?" Hermione said.
"D-Draco broke up w-with me." Christi said in tears.
"Malfoy is in Slytherin anyways, who needs him? Plus, he is probably going to
become a Deatheater like is stinking father." Hermione said.
Christi looked at them with much dislike. "My father was a Deatheater! And my
father is in Slytherin!" Christi yelled, getting up and running out of the Great
Hall.
Christi ran all the way to the Gryffindor Common Room. She went to the girls
dormitory and flopped on her bed, crying. After an hour she fell asleep.
Christi woke up to realize she had fallen asleep. She gasped and looked at the
time. She gasped again realizing she had skipped detention. She jumped up and
straitened out her robes. She then raced down stairs to find Harry, Ron, and
Hermione, just entering.
"Hey Christi! Where were you? You missed your detention" Ron said.
"Yes, I know! I can't believe I did that! Was Snape looking for me?" Christi
said.
"No, we haven't seen him." Ron said.
Christi ran to the Common Room. "I must go and apologize!" And without another
word, she ran off before they could say anything.
She raced towards the dungeons as quickly as possible. She reached the dungeons
and started walking to the classroom.
When she got in front of the door, she stopped to catch her breath. Once she
got her breath back she knocked on the door. No one answered. She knocked again.
No answer. She then opened the door, which was unlocked. She walked into the
classroom. No one was in there.
"Mmmm. . .odd. Professor Snape never leaves his door unlock if he isn't in the
room. He must be in his office." Christi said to her self.
She walked to Professor Snape's office. The door was closed. She knocked on
the door, no answer. She knocked on it a bit harder, no answer. She put her
hand on the doorknob and turned it to see if it was locked or not. It wasn't.
She opened the door and stepped in. He wasn't at his desk. She looked over at
the bed, which covered by a Slytherin curtain.
There were noises behind the curtain. She took a few more steps forward and
heard heavy breathing. It was Snapes'.
"Oh god." He breathed heavy.
Christi's first thought that Snape was choking and couldn't breath or something
like that. Whatever it was, Christi knew Snape was in trouble.
She started running towards his bed. Professor Snape! Father!" She yelled, almost
in tears. She ran around the curtain and saw that she was very much wrong. She
gasped at the site.
"Oh my gosh!" Christi whispered.
"What are you doing in here Christi?" Snape said, gasping and seating up. "Wasn't
your detention two hours ago?!?"
"Yes! I'm so sorry! I got upset over something and fell asleep in the girls'
dormitory. When I woke up, I realized I missed the detention. I then came looking
for you to say sorry. When I got in here I heard you breathing heavily. I though
you were dieing or were in danger, so I came running. If I knew this was going
to be the case then I would have turned around and left. I am so sorry!" Christi
said.
There, with Professor Snape was Professor McGonagall. Professor Snape was just
wearing his pants. Professor McGonagall looked horrified. She had all her clothes
on, but her hair wasn't up in a bun. It was down. Her hair was wavy and shiny.
Professor Snape wasn't in danger, he was making out with Professor McGonagall
and if she waited any longer, she didn't want to even think what she would have
seen.
"Go back to your Common Room. I will speak to you later on tonight. Wait for
me." Professor Snape said.
"Yes, sir." Christi said, walking back to the Gryffindor Common Room.
"I can't believe that just happened!" Christi said to herself, walking up flights
of stairs. "What was I thinking?!?"
When Christi got to the Fat Lady, she said the password. She sat in an armchair
close by Fred and George, who were playing chess.
"Hey Christi! Were have you been? Harry, Ron, and Hermione have been looking
for you." Fred said.
"Yea! Where were you?" George said.
"Sorry if I worried you some. I was in Professor Snape's office." Christi said,
avoiding the subject of the part she discovered.
"What were you doing down there?" Fred asked.
"I had to tell Professor Snape sorry for my lateness. He told me that he would
come back and reschedule the detention." Christi said.
Ron, Harry, and Hermione came walking over to them.
"Hey Christi! What happened down in the dungeons? We saw you come out of the
dungeons with a shock look on your face." Ron said.
"Oh, I wasn't shocked, I was. . .just thinking of something that came to my
mind and it surprised me." Christi said.
Ron gave her a suspicious look, but shrugged it off and sat in a chair.
The Common Room slowly empted and the only people left was Christi, Harry, Ron,
and Hermione. There was silence for a minute. Then they heard someone coming
down the stairs. They looked towards the stairs and soon Sirius Black came down
the stairs, smiling brightly.
"Hello Sirius! How are you?" Ron said.
"I'm doing find Ron, thank you." Sirius said. "I think I'm going to stay up
a bit tonight. Harry you should get to bed."
"I was just thinking about going." Harry said, getting up, smiling.
"yea, we should get to bed. Hermione? Christi?" Ron said.
"Yea, I'm coming." Hermione said, gathering her study materials together.
"I need to stay here." Christi said.
"Suit yourself." Hermione said.
Christi smiled as she watched Harry, Ron, and Hermione walk up the stairs to
there dormitories.
"Well, it looks like it's just you and me now." Christi said, walking to a couch
and sitting down.
"Yep." Sirius said, sitting beside her.
"Why are you staying up so late?"
"Because, Professor Snape told me to wait on him, that he was going to come
and talk to me." Christi said.
Sirius narrowed his eyes at the mention of Snape's name.
"Then I don't want to stay here. I think I will go wonder the halls." Sirius
said, getting up.
"No!" Christi said, grabbing his arm. "Don't leave me alone. Keep me company.
Just until Snape gets here." Christi pleaded.
"Fine! But I'm leaving after he comes." Sirius said, sitting back down. They
talked for an hour and then Christi felt very sleepy. Her last words to Sirius
before falling into deep sleep was, "Don't leave me Sirius. Please don't leave
me." Her voice sounded scared.
Sirius nodded and kissed the top of her forehead.
Another hour passed and Sirius was starting to feel very sleepy himself. He
changed into his dog form and curled by her side and fell asleep.
It was 3:00am when Sirius awoke to eerie noises in the Common Room. He looked
up to see Professor Snape coming over to them. A nasty sneer was on his lips.
Seeing Sirius with his daughter was worse than crossing his path and talking
to him.
Sirius jumped down and changed into his human-form. Snape didn't stop to wake
Christi. He kept on going for Sirius. Snape took his hand and cupped it around
Sirius' neck.
"I don't ever want to see you touch my daughter again. Don't even comfort her
when she needs to be. Your not her father and your never will be. Meaning that
you will not act like her father. Understood Black?!?" Snape hissed.
Black nodded his head. Snape released him and glared at him for a while. He
then turned to Christi and stared at her for a while. He then walked over to
her and shook her awake.
"Christi, wake up." Snape said.
"Huh? What?" Christi said, confused. She sat up and looked straight at her father.
"What time is it? And where is Sirius?"
"3:10am, and he's over there" Professor Snape said, nodding over to where Sirius
was still leaning against the wall, scared half to death..
"Why did you come so late?" Christi groaned.
"I'm sorry, I was a bit busy. Dumbledore gave me some work." Snape said.
"Oh. What did you want to talk about?" Christi asked.
Professor Snape looked at Sirius and glared at him. "Leave us to talk in private
Black!" Snape said.
Sirius didn't say anything, just walked out of the Common Room. After Sirius
was gone, Snape turned back to Christi and stared at her blankly.
"Are you alright Christi?" Snape said.
"Yes, I suppose. I'm sorry I walked in on you like that. I never meant to. I
was looking for you to say sorry. I thought you were in danger. I'm sorry. "Christi
said, hanging her head.
"No, don't be sorry. I thank you that you cared enough about me to see if I
was alright." Snape said.
Christi looked up at him and gave him a weak smile. "What's going on between
you and McGonagall?" Christi asked.
"Well, I told her how I felt about her and she said that she already knew. That
you told her. No, I am not going to punish you. She then told me that she liked
me when she first saw me at Hogwarts. We talked for a while and then when you
were an hour late we started kissing. After we decided that you weren't coming,
we got more serious. I'm not going into any details." Snape said.
"What about professor McGonagall? Is she mad?" Christi asked.
"I am afraid she is a bit upset, but I think she will get over it. Are you ok
with me and Professor McGonagall?" Snape asked.
"Yes, I knew you two were the perfect couple, even if you are in Slytherin and
she is in Gryffindor." Christi said.
"Well, you better get to bed. It's getting close to the morning." Snape said.
"Yea, and I have Transfigurations tomorrow." Christi moaned.
"Good luck!" Snape said, getting up and walking to the Portrait door.
"Good night Christi." Professor Snape said.
"Good night father." Christi said, saying the name he deserved.
He smiled and opened the portrait door.
"Oh, wait!" Christi yelped. "If you so happened come across Snuffles. . . huh.
. .Sirius, don't harm him. The most you can do is glare at him. Nothing more."
Christi said, kissing him on the cheek and pushing him out the door.
She headed up the stairs to go to bed.
