Dragon Dormant version by Katherine Ashewode

If you've been in the SCA any amount of time, you've probably had the experience of "Freaking the Mundanes". If not, speak to some of the seasoned members in your area and be prepared for stories. Though this song is circulating on the web in various forms, I have modified it slightly to fit my local shire. It is sung to the tune of "Waltzing Matilda".
Once a noble baron held a court in Sleepy Dragon's Isle
Out on the edge of the river so free,
And we sang as we marched, to the metro in our funny clothes
You'll come a-freaking the Mundanes with me.Chorus:
Feaking the Mundanes, freaking the Mundanes
You'll come a-freaking the Mundanes with me.
(repeat the last 2 lines of the previous verse)Down came a snack truck to vend beside the fighter park
Stand and deliver cried the bold company
And we sang as we munched on our beaver tales and ice cream bars,
You'll come a-freaking the Mundanes with me.Chorus
Bardic at Angrinon turned into a drumming fest,
Out came the dancers: one, two, three
And we sang as Angall danced around the firepit.
You'll come a-freaking the Mundanes with me.Chorus
Oh, Cynan the Bard goes strolling down St. Lawrent Street,
Singing his songs as a minstrel free
And he sings as tourists all stare out from their passing cars
You'll come a-freaking the Mundanes with me.Chorus
Why sit home alone and dream your dreams in solitude
This will be fun, I can guarantee
Come put on your costumes, then strap your weapons at your side
And come out a-freaking the Mundanes with me.
