The Wonderful Lady Joane

Lady Joane is the namesake of the Lady Joane Glory, a local pirate ship-hold (ie: a household based on a ship). It was written because, despite all the other songs I'd written about the ship, none were about her. The tune is original.
Who is the lady we fight for?
The lady we all unite for?
Who is the lady we wash our hands,
and groom in the mirror all night for?'Tis none but the Lady Joane,
'Tis none but the Lady Joane,
A paragon of virtue, fair of face,
A wonder of the human race.
And she's our very own,
the wonderful Lady Joane.Who is the lady we drink to?
The lady we always think to?
Who is the lady we nod our heads,
smile and wave and wink to?'Tis none but the Lady Joane,
'Tis none but the Lady Joane,
A marvel of nature never matched.
Our captain's made a mighty catch.
And she's our very own,
the wonderful Lady Joane.Who is the lady we pray for? The lady we can't say "nay" for? Who is the lady we hoist the sails and shine the decks all day for?
'Tis none but the Lady Joane,
'Tis none but the Lady Joane,
Always perfect, always pure,
Who could ask for anything more?
And she's our very own!
The wonderful Lady Joane!
Yes, she's our very own!
The wonderful Lady Joane!
