The Fearsome Sable Banner

The Fearsome Sable Banner represents the arms of the Lady Joane Glory, a local pirate ship-hold (ie: a household based on a ship). It was written as a counter-filk to the Blazing Scarlet Banner, which is an Ealdomeran war song. It is sung to the same tune, which is also the same tune as the Queen of Argyll.
When I was first in Skraeling
'Twas when I heard the wailing
From all the Ealdormearans
Of devils from the sea:
Of Captain Eric Bristol,
Who brandished sword and pistol,
And of the crew he captained
Of The Lady Joane Glory.
