Healthy Food for Healthy Life

Here are the good foods for healthy lives. I collected these from all kinds of sources, and some are scientifically proven to work, but some are not proven. Do not think of the foods here as alternative choice to hospital or medicinal care. You should consult your doctor first when you are sick. 

I would like to say that anything too much is poisonous, but anything little by little everyday is healthy. A good example of this is alcoholic beverage. Koreans call a cup of rice wine a day “a medicinal drink (Yak Joo).?amp;nbsp; 

When you have asthma  

Ginkgo (get them in a Korean or Japanese market.) 
Stir-fry over skillet with oil, until gingkos turn yellow. Add salt. Don’t eat more than ten ginkos a day.  

Apricot Kernel (Health stores)
Don’t eat more than ten kernels a day.

Asian Pear
Boil pears with water for a long time, until mushy. Go through a sift and drink the juice as often as possible.

Winter Watermelon (Chinese market)

 

Lowering cholesterol

Dried Shitake Mushroom
Add shitake mushroom in your food everyday.

Roasted, Unsalted Sunflower Seeds
Try to eat them everyday.

Beans
Pickled Beans

 

Food that prevent heart attack

Seaweed (Asian market)
Make seaweed soup with less soy sauce at least once a week.

Vinegar
Try to eat a lot of vinegar. If your diet does not include vinegar at all, try drinking about 1 Tbs of vinegar everyday.  How to make Pickled Beans

 

When you have high blood pressure

Sea Kelp Dashima in Korean (Asian market)
Clean kelp, and wrap it with aluminum foil. Put if over fire or in an oven, until kelp is lightly cooked. Grind it, and eat three spoonful or dissolved in water.

Onion
Try eat as much as onion.

Carrot Juice
Make at home (less salt)and drink everyday.

Seaweed, Sea Kelp, Sea Laver

Raw Sweet Potato Juice

 

When you have diabetes

Spinach
Make spinach soup or seasoned spinach, and eat it everyday. 

Green Peas
Boil green pea with salt, and chill it. Grind it in a blender.

 

For overactive bladder 

Cranberry Juice (or Aronia Berry Juice)

Walnut
Also helps constipation.

 

Too much dandruff 

Vinegar
Wash the hair with shampoo and rinse. Then add about ten drops of vinegar in water and rinse the hair. 

Aloe
Cut aloe and rub the cut side on the head. Leave it for ten minuets, and rinse.

 

Eye problem 

Green Tea (Any Asian store)
Make a strong green tea, and add salt. Rub your eye area with tae water by cotton about two times a day.

Keul Myung Ja Tea (Korean Market)
Boil water, and add Keul Myung Ja. Boil until color of water turns dark. 

 

When you have diarrhea

Plum
Plum juice or plum tea

Garlic
Boil whole garlic and drink only the water. Good remedy to kill bacteria.

Green Tea with Honey
Make strong green tea, and add about 1 Tbs of honey. Drink once a day.

 

To cure constipation

Nuts (walnut, sunflower seeds ?

Banana
Try to eat one banana a day.

 

Acne

Chinese Radish (Daicon)
Clean outside of radish, and grind well. Use the juice only to rub on the face after washing. Use it like toner, or rinse after.
