Well what can I say about Manson's new album but wow.
It's been a while since Manson has released anything and
I was starting to get withdrawals. The album "Last Tour On Earth"
is unreal. Even though it is a live album and we all know the songs
off by heart it still satisfies the need for new Manson music.
The album open with a short into that most of us would have
witnessed if you attended any of his concerts in the last year.
The first song was non-other than 'The Reflecting God' which was
just awesome. This is one of my favorite Manson songs and it was
just unreal hearing it live again. The next song up was 'Great Big White
World' now this song to me is one of the many from 'Mechanical Animals'
which Manson mixes his style of rock with that of he pop rock genera.
And I must say he does it wonderfully showing everyone said he
was only good because of Reznor being involved look stupid. Next
is the classic 'Get Your Gunn' which is an all time favorite
with most long time Manson fans. Then we have 'Sweet Dreams/Hell Intro'
too many people have said too much about sweet dreams so I wont say
too much but Manson sings it better than the eruthymincs ever could.
Then we have the 'Dope Show' and 'Rock Is Dead'. These both come
from 'Mechanical Animals' and both songs are pretty awesome songs.
Next is the Manson classic lunchbox. The words "next motherfucker's
gonna get my metal" are spoken by Manson then the crowd follow suit.
What can I say a fucking classic. Next is the signature song from Animals
'I Don't Like The Drugs (But The Drugs Like Me)'. I like this song
but it will never be 'Irresponsible Hate Anthem' but I doubt Manson
ever intended it to be. Now we have three of his greatest songs ever
'Antichrist Superstar', ' The Beautiful People' and 'Irresponsible Hate Anthem'.
What can I say about these three songs but un-fucking-real. These songs
strike deep with the message of how the world is about racism, individuality
and how you are punished for being different in our society. These songs
fucking rock. Next up is 'The Last Day On Earth' which is truly on of my
favorites from Animals. I love this song and hopefully understand the
message Manson gives with this song. Last but not least we have his
newest song 'Astonishing Panorama Of The Endtimes' now this song kicks
ass and it also connects itself to 'Antichrist Superstar' with the lines
"This is what you should fear, you are what you should fear" over and
over again. Awesome. There is also a bonus disk with a limited amount
of albums. This bonus disk contains "Coma White" which is my favorite
song of all of animals. It also contains an acoustic version of 'Coma
White' Also there are two remakes. Nothing fantastic but still. Anyway I
can't say enough about the album and I say to you all get out there
and buy it if you don't own it already. It is defiantly a buy and not a steal.
10/10 I've said it all and I will again this album fucking kicks ass!
